FS2004 Scenery--Geraldton CYGQ in north Ontario, Canada. This greatly modifies the previous (2009) version of Geraldton, and includes purpose-made buildings. This version is stand-alone and does not require you to have previously installed Geraldton; it is the third of three north Ontario airports and the AI is included with Dryden and Sioux Lookout. Geraldton is in northern Ontario, 70 miles northeast of Thunder Bay and 50 miles east of Lake Nipigon. The town population is around 2400 and the origins are in mining. The airport is a further 3 miles or so north, just south of Hutchison Lake, and has just over 5000 feet of asphalt aligned 08-26; there used to be a second runway in a similar arrangement to the one at Dryden, but that was long ago. At the eastern end of the runway there are seemingly-unplanned hangars turning their backs towards most of a large apron; this is because there was a large apron extension made so that fire fighting CL 415 planes could be parked there in the summer, adjacent to tanks containing foam and chemical additives.
