FS98 Curtiss Hawk P-6E. A single seat open air fighter made by the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Co. These later versions featured a 700 HP water cooled engine, giving a top speed of 198 mph service ceiling 24700, rate of climb 2400 fpm range 285 miles or 527 with an underbelly tank. It was fitted with two .30 cal. machine guns. Delivered to Army in late 1931. By Jack Hill.
