FS2002/FS2004 Scenery--Southampton UK and regional area, v1.0 - Module 10: Southampton City-Part1. This scenery requires SOTONTX1.ZIP, SOTONTX2.ZIP and SOTONTX3.ZIP texture files. Photorealistic scenery Module 10 has taken some 18 months in the making and is the first of two 'City Modules' depicting the City of Southampton. Part 1 covers the northern and central areas of the city and provides road and railway infrastructures as well as a number of medieval houses and new town architectural buildings. The northern area of the city features the 326 acre 'Common' with lakes, children's pool and playground areas as well as 'The Cowherd' public house. Also featured are laser lights (optional) and hot air balloons (static and dynamic) lifting-off and flying out over the wooded area of the 'Common', across Southampton Water and the New Forest. The central area includes the Medina Mosque, City Central Railway Station, HSBC High Rise Offices, The Mayflower Theatre, BBC Radio Solent and nearby 'Child of Family Sculptures', Toy's 'R' Us, Skandia Life Insurance House, Debenhams Retail Store, Capital House, East Street shops (northern side) and The Civic Centre with its Guildhall, Police Station, Art Gallery, Library and Fountain. Additional city features including The Bargate Monument and Old City Walls, Tudor Merchant House and Westgate, Above Bar Shops (lower western and eastern sides), West Quay Shopping Centre and retail shops (east side) and car park, the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, St. Michael, St. Mary's and Holyrood Churches, General Gordon's monument, The Mayflower Memorial, Lord Mountbatten of Burma Statue and the Leisure World and Odeon Cinema. Prominent city parks include Houndwell and Hoglands parks, Watts Park with its Watts Statue and Cenotaph, Queens Park and East Park with its Andrews statue, Titanic Memorial and Lord Palmerston's Statue and Palmerston Park and Victorian Bandstand. Firework displays during certain celebratory times of the year are also included. Dynamic trains, seagulls and fountains as well as cars, buses, trucks, ice cream vans, swans, animals and people all help to bring the city 'alive'. A city map listing the main areas for reference purposes is included.
