Well, theanswer is no. So, Just Flight has just brought this real-worldrepresentation of global aviation traffic at every airport forsimmers. Not only are there loads of aircraft, both commercial andgeneral aviation (GA) parked at the ramps and gates at any airport youcan think of, but the traffic is promised by Just Flight to beaccurate flight plans based on real-world airline schedules. Thetraffic database that powers the AI flights is sourced from the samesuppliers that power many of the popular 'flight tracking' apps andweb sites, thus providing the most realistic representation ofreal-world airport traffic yet. So, if you can see an airplane in yoursim, there should be one in that same position at the airport or inthe air in real life!

This software features thousands of detailed but FPS-efficientcommercial airline AI aircraft built from the ground up, and anextensive schedule of General Aviation flights. A powerful back-endsoftware tool is included to let you explore and take full control ofthe supplied AI schedules. You can also create and edit your owndatabase of custom single-leg or multi-leg AI traffic flights and addyour own repaints. Here are the features included in TrafficGlobal:

Installation And Setup

The installation of Traffic Global is simple and straightforward. Just choose your location for the program (separate from yoursimulator root folder) and choose a location for the AI Fleetfolder.

Setup Of Traffic Global

Setup is also simple and requires no software programming of anykind. I am not sure if this is required, but I believe that beforefirst use, Traffic Global must compile the A.I. traffic for yoursim. This takes about 5 minutes.

Finally, you must compile the exact specification of AI trafficfleet that you require in the 'Compile Traffic' tab of the back-endsoftware of Traffic Global. You can decide if you would like toinclude cargo traffic and GA, or one of the two, then set the errorcorrection. The 'Error Correction' means that the database of flightsincluded with Traffic Global contains lots of flights that can bedirectly matched with liveries and aircraft in the traffic fleet. Alsoincluded in the database are flight plans that do not have a directmatch in the fleet and therefore have various options available. Thisincludes error checking and livery/aircraft substitution in which toincrease the amount of flight plans being generated.

This means that you can compile the traffic to have more aircraftbut less accuracy, or less aircraft with greater accuracy.

Quality Of The External Models

I must say that I am impressed by the physical models of theaircraft, especially the GA. The aircraft include 2048x2048 resolutionliveries and include night lit textures. If you look closely, you maynotice animated engine fans and authentic night lighting. The enginesounds are very impressive and highly realistic, which should not be asurprise as they were developed by Turbine Sound Studios and areunique to every aircraft.

It was great to hear real sounds for the Boeing 747-8Intercontinental, 737 and the Airbus A330 and A320, all of which havetheir own distinct engine sound. The GA aircraft are very loud,blaring and obnoxious, just as they should be! I wish that add-on GAaircraft had sounds like these, they are exceptionally good!

Here you can see the quality of the GA aircraft with highresolution textures. I thought they were real when I was taxiing nextto them!

Real Traffic At Every Airport

The great thing about Traffic Global is that you can expect to seenative aircraft fleets at any given airport, along with a high degreeof accuracy. For example, you will see British Airways at LondonHeathrow, Delta Airlines at Kennedy International, and Lufthansa atFrankfurt Main. So, no more flying by yourself!

The Back-End Software

The Traffic Global software tool allows you to explore and takefull control of the supplied AI schedules.

This page allows you to view all the A.I. flight plans included inTraffic Global. You can search the database of flight plans by aspecific aircraft, airline, departure airport, arrival airport, or theflight times. The display on the right shows you the location of thatflight.

Here you can edit selected flight plans, and the image below showsthe screen where you can create your own.

Creating your own flight plans has great potential as you can usethe default aircraft located in the AI Fleet folder. There isn'treally any need to download additional aircraft since there is such awide variety of aircraft already included.

This page allows you to explore the A.I. Fleet. You can add newliveries, edit the flight parameters such as cruise altitude, parkingtypes and range.

Simmer Opinion Of Traffic Global

As a keen flight simmer, I must always have traffic around me as Ido not enjoy flying in empty skies. This software allows me to havethat. Traffic Global not only brings great features to the virtualpilot, but it also allows the simmer to know about the flights thatexist around the world. If you want to know about a particular flight,or what traffic is at any given airport, you can quickly get thatinformation. As mentioned earlier, you can even create your ownflights. The back-end software is also not required for anyfunctionality of the A.I. traffic. The traffic is automatically loadedat your desired airport when you choose to fly an airplane.This is a great application and I rate it 5 out of 5.
