While I have a vague understanding that a VC is built into a single model in fs9, unlike in fsx where they are two separate entities, I am curious as to why so many addon designers both early on and now, have chosen to not include even simple virtual cockpits for their fs9 addons? This comes from an observation of mine in that outside of payware products, many airliners and even smaller non commercial aviation addons have no virtual cockpits for their fs9 versions. Was there something which made VC inclusion in fs9 more problematic than in fsx? Or was more or less down to a personal preference? I ask as I have always been stunned by how relatively few fs9 addon designers chose to include even a basic VC like the ones found in all of the stock aircraft, which fs9 comes with, (737-400, 747-400, etc.). Also, I am equally curious as to what the actual process of placing a VC into an fs9 aircraft is like, as I am interested in understanding what makes this process so different from that of the ones used by FSX addon designers. Kind regards, Tristar35

Having downloaded a few repaints for the fs9 PA A380, I have noticed that several of them come with virtual cockpit textures. However, from what I have found in the library, the only ones which I have seen mention having a VC are ones which use a virtual passenger cabin feature, not an actual virtual cockpit for player/pilot to fly from. Example of this being the fictional Virgin Atlantic PA A380 repaint addon which has VC cockpit textures, but all the models I have found only use a default, Virtual Cabin, or WV(Wing view I presume) model. Any ideas on where I can find the non-virtual cabin VC model for fs9? Thanks! Tristar35 Link to the information I saw indicating that a fs9/fs2004 PA A380 addon existed: https://www.fly-euroharmony.com/forum/index.php?topic=6951.0

Ive tried to research this topic in detail but haven't had a clear answer to fix this issue. Im using a freeware MD87 from Simvation which is an MD87 Air Tanker package. For some reason my virtual cockpit wont display when looking forward. It only displays when I look to the right or left and sometimes will randomly appear when I pull up and the horizon is out view. Someone mentioned adjusting the eye viewpoint settings in the aircraft.cfg file and Ive tried that, but haven't been able to fix the problem yet. Any help woulf be greatly appreciated!

Hi there, I am looking for an (experienced) developer/designer who's able and willing to create a virtual cockpit for FSX. It will be an upgrade/modification of the PC-7 2.0 model by Tim 'Piglet' Conrad. Current gauges are outdated, so it'll need a glass cockpit. I can provide the new layout. The cockpit will be used for an experiment with student pilots in an airforce squadron that uses the PC-7. I am currently in charge of leading the experiment, but I lack the skills to design something like this. Send me a personal message if you can help me out or just post below. Thanks in advance!

Hello, Yesterday, I downloaded the Project Airbus A319 (this file, to be exact: https://simviation.com/1/download-file?file=a319_aa_pack.zip&fileId=55867) and decided to fly a short IFR flight with it today. When the tug turned my aircraft, the VC just disappeared. Everything was fine until that... If I look right or left, the VC appears again. I looked up on google and found this thread (https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?313777-Project-Airbus-A320-VC-Erratically-Disappearing) about the same issue, but with the Project Airbus A320. I made the correction in the aircraft.cfg file but the VC is still disappearing, when I'm turning with the plane. Any ideas how to fix it? Thank you, Csanád
