EngEd
I have a Windows 10 installation (not upgrade) on a new computer. No sound whatsoever. After the no-cd trick, I got FS9 to work, but again with no sound. The W010 Sound problem is well documented, with MS lack of useful tech support. (Indeed, they disavow any support of FS9 too.) I'm also considering jumping ship to X-Plane and its Plane Maker. However, now that I have finessed GMax and FS9 into (no sound) operation, I'm reluctant to give up all my old crates. Thoughts? jandjfrench
Hi, "W7 Sound problem"? I don't recall reading of a Win 7 sound problem. Is this in relation to a flight sim? Jim F.
bam1220
Do you have sound in Win 10 outside of FS9? I know some updates of Win 10 have caused the deletion of sound drivers as well as printer drivers for a lot of people. You don't mention if you have no sound only in FS9. EngEd
Oops, Jim. My typo (and now corrected, through help of Edit) . The W10 sound problem is well documented. Agreed, I had no problems with W7 and FS9.
EngEd
Hi, bam, As noted "New Windows 10 No Sound Whatsoever." I've tried driver renewal to no avail, and have given up on MS Support. My reason for posting here was the long shot that some simmer had a similar problem and discovered a solution.
JSkorna
Wouldn't you think that if this was a well documented issue (which it is not), almost every Win 10/FS2004 user would have been posting about this in the past 2 years? Methinks the issue is not with Win 10 or FS2004. http://www.air-source.us/images/sigs/000219_195_jimskorna.png
