P.e.g.a.s.u.s
for X-Plane 11 minimum system requirements, see here: http://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-11-system-requirements/ they recommend trying out your rig with an X-plane 11 demo if you aren't sure about meeting performance requirements, but the demo isn't available yet, though. ^^^^ ´´´\/``` AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 48GB RAM, RTX 2070S, 2x1TB Nvme SSD. theyorks
The demo ran fine on my i7 Gtx 660 with 16 gig ram. Bought the whole shebang and........crawl. Had to lower the graphics and scenery sliders. Still new, so more testing to come. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

theyorks
Thanks David, have been fiddling and have found a good compromise after defragging and using nvidia inspector. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
anitelite
Question.....with a higher speed video card, will X-plane run smoother? my I7, GT450 rig runs FSX without any issues, but if X-plane needs more VIDEO horsepower, I don't mind upgrading....opinions ? P.e.g.a.s.u.s
Anitelite, I thought you said here: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?302538-Xplane-11-beta-and-user-manual-now-available&p=2000836#post2000836 "So if all your machines like mine are 32 bit, you'll need to upgrade or you're out of luck" that you run a 32 bit OS. Graphics card won't help. Get Windows 7, 64 bit, or Win 10. ^^^^ ´´´\/``` AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 48GB RAM, RTX 2070S, 2x1TB Nvme SSD. FSX Gold, XP-11, MSFS. anitelite
I've redone one of my drives as a 64 bit unit and Xplane runs, but not smoothly. I've done a couple of the optimization tweaks suggested elsewhere that did help, but now the question is whether on not a video card enhancement is in order.
