United premerger tail logo.

I am doing research for a livery request. Can anybody give me a good link for a United Airlines premerger tail logo? Here is an example of an aircraft:

I prefer one that is slightly oversized so that I can use it for either a 737NG or a 777-300.

 

All credit will be noted when I upload the repaint to Avsim/Flightsim.

How far back premerger do you want to go? In that link you give, the first picture was shortly before the merger, and the "Stars and Bars" livery was most of the time before that. I grew up with a UAL pilot for a father, and I was mostly used to the "Stars and Bars" style livery, from as far back as I can recall. Like on DC-8's and 727's back in the mid-60's. It was replaced with the tri-color U's on the tail, and then the monochrome ones just before the merger gave them their current livery.

I don't have any links, right off, but a quick Google of United Air Lines liveries will give you a ton of images, of all of them.

Not real helpful, sorry. I'm just too tired right now to go searching for liveries that are tucked firmly away in my little pea-brain...

You can find an old United Airlines logo here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:United_Airlines_logo_(1973_-_2010).svg it is available in various sizes up to 1,280 × 115 pixels, they are in png format so when opened in photoshop or GIMP there is no background.
