Hello Folks,

I just installed my first add-on aircraft, South African Airlines, Comet Jet Airliner, however, it does not appear in my airplane listing. I installed as per the readme file to my FSX folder as follows: MSFS/FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes.

The file ssacomet.zip has a check mark indicating a complete model. Is it possibly an AI model? The files appear in the Windows File Explorer but not in the FSX airplane list.

Thanks, Brian

Here is the readme.

FSX - Early Aircraft

This De Havilland Comet aircraft was leased by SAA from BOAC. They were the first jet passenger aircraft in the world. A Comet flying to Johannesburg from London broke up near Naples.Subsequently all Comets were grounded and were withdrawn from Service. They were replaced by the Douglas DC-7B.

I do not have a photo of a Comet in SAA colours but have assumed it would be similar to the DC 4 and Avro York.

Model is by Dee Waldron

Panel is by Marco Spada [please see documentation]

Intallation:

------------

1] Unzip the SAACOMET.ZIP file to a temporary directory

2] Copy the "SAA Comet 4" Directory into the Airplanes directory.

This directory should be as follows if a standard installation of FSX has been done

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\

Have fun.
