stinger2k2
Hi All, Can anyone shed some light on the flight sim called Outerra? It seems very realistic and I have seen utube vids where it is linked somehow to FSX with FSUIPC. Is it worth downloading? The videos I have seen seem to have a better feeling of scale than FSX which has always been my main bugbear with the Microsoft sims. cheers Stinger
JSkorna
It's not a flightsim, it's a rendering/game/sim engine. A group of individuals explored the possibility of creating a full flight sim using it so planes were added with one landing strip. That is what you are seeing at YouTube. The same group dropped Outerra and is now possibly starting over and they have a forum here at FlightSim. No you cannot link anything to FSX/FSUIPC using Outerra. http://www.air-source.us/images/sigs/000219_195_jimskorna.png

I assume you are talking about the NGFS team? Shame, it's a nice looking engine but the frame rates are probably down to the lack of content then, i.e ATC, traffic,Buildings etc. Oh well, back to FSX :-)
