Making it work...

This may not e the appropriate forum, but I figure it is worth a try.

Unable to find a decent replacement for the default FSX KMVY, I tried loading up William F. Shea's excellent version made for FS2004. I was amazed to find that it worked with but one exception... Some of the larger trees became large green squares on tall sticks. I thought this an easy enough fix. I renamed all the large tree files figuring if the program couldn't see the files, it would skip them. The loss of the trees would have been a satisfactory compromise that I could easily live with. However, the large green squares on tall sticks became large black squares on tall sticks. Does anyone have a fix for FS9 scenery in FSX?

Thanks for your help!!

I don't have a fix for this, but I could find two sceneries for that airport. One being the ORBX Freeware NA (which I noticed that you're having a problem with) and the other being this one: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=164172

Hello Klee Ive converted FSX Scenery to work in FS9 along with the textures using Model conveter X but ive never done it the other way around. Im sure the problem your having is with textures i woulndt add to many FS9 scenery in FSX directly without converting or you may start expiriencing crashes and AFCAD files abnormalities as well

Model converyer X. Would probably be your best option http://www.scenerydesign.org/modelconverterx otherwise just stick with FSX Airport scenery.

There many great FSX sceneries Available like the link Risha provided above.... and would be less of a headache then dealing with Afcad conversions along with Texture conversions and Abnormalities Ive done it and was very sucessfull but its time consuming waiting for Model Converter X to process the scenery objects and MDL files to get the scenery to work as it should.
