lillyluna23
Hi All,I have just purchased a new computer so i can run fs9,my specs are: Windows 7 on a Sedatech,Nvidia Geforce GTX 750ti,AMD Athlon x4 860k Quad Core processor, 8gb ram,1000gb HDD. Anyway,my question at stake is: i have run fs9 and the performance seems to be a lot better then my old PC,but how do i know if my Nvidia graphics card is the default for fs9? Cheers Jon
JSkorna
Go to the FS Settings screen and see what card is listed. http://www.air-source.us/images/sigs/000219_195_jimskorna.png
copperpen
Start FS9, then go to Settings, Display, Hardware where you will see the video card or chip that is in use.
lillyluna23
Thanks for the advice. I'm not at the pc just now,but in case my graphics card isn't the default for fs9,how would I change it?
Luke
What other GPU would your computer have? IIRC that AMD x4 has no GPU. Cheers! Luke
lillyluna23
Hi Luke, having looked into my pc i can't seem to find any other gpu that my computer has! Would that be a problem?
Luke
Why would it? You have one GPU, as you expected. Why are you asking what you should do if another magically appears? Luke
longbreak754
No it is not a problem. It simply means that your Motherboard (MoBo) does not have an integrated graphics chip. Not sure what you mean by the comment 'looked into my pc' and thus what action you actually took to check so apologies if you already know this - if you want to be sure that this is the case click Start > Control Panel > Device Manager. When the Device Manger window opens look at the Display Adapters section - it will tell you what GPUs are installed. Regards Brian
