Reshade caused a blank Nav Log in the Flightplanner.

Interesting find.

I saw a thread on a Nav-Log problem in Flight Planner in FSX.

To help out I created a test plan and then clicked: "Nav Log".

To my amazement, the nav log was blank!!

Nothing there. The nav log page popped up fine, but no info on it at all.

I thought it didn't have to be the latest thing added, could be anything, as I hardly ever use the Nav Log. I just started working bacwards through the major changes.

Found it quickly. It was RESHADE.

The last thing added, last night, was Reshade. It is a shader fixer to make fsx and other games look better.

I looked up how to uninstall that.

It turned out to be easy. Just delete file g3d9.dll

(in the main FSX folder.)

I decided to not uninstall yet, but to temporarily disable Reshade. So I just located file g3d9.dll and renamed it to:

g3d9.dll.bak

to disable it.

(I did that while fsx was shut down of course.)

I then started FSX again, made a Flightplan, looked up the Nav Log, all OK again.

All info was back. Solved. Fixed.

I have the feeling the good colour effects are still there. Perfect. (At least it all still looks very good.)

(PS:

There may be some more steps to fully uninstalling Reshade. I suggest you research that yourself.

I don't know Reshade well enough really. I only just tried the program yesterday. It does give a good look to FSX.)
