Overhead View in X-Plane 10?

Hi,

Is there an overhead view and a slew mode in XP10? FSX has a handy "direct down" view which allows you to zoom out to higher altitudes and is great for checking accuracy of whole scenery areas. Slew mode to move the aircraft to new locations quickly.

Thanks. Tom

Hi Tom,

I tend to use the 'C' command and the Shift + arrow keys to move (zoom) around the world of X-Plane. You can also use the 'Local Map' feature to move your aircraft around the area.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Thanks for the help, Dom.

One other thing - When I have a complete overcast sky, it never touches the horizon. There is about a 1 to 2 inch blue sky band between the clouds and the horizon all around. It ruins the effect of complete cloud cover. I tried different rendering settings but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas? Thanks, Tom
