KCD
That's about as pretty a Comanche as I've ever see, Adam, your shots of her are spectacular as usual, and the scenery isn't half bad either!
peer01
I second our friend Klee, what a beautiful livery on the Comanche.:cool::cool: What's the name of this nice little airport? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

liner simpilot
Adam great looking screenshots. Since flight simming (98-2004) I have flown small GA, but devote mostly flying tube liners. But nothing can compete with some of these old birds such as your Comanche 250 here. Just for curiosity is there civilian paint schemes? That could look sharp too. adamb
Klee, Jan, JK, James, Kenny, Larry and Dan, thank you much. :) Jan the airport is Swanson from Orbx. :) Kenny there are a ton of paints for the Comanche at the A2A forums, plus different interior colors as well. Dan the panel comes with the Comanche, except for the Flight1 Garmin GTN 750. Kenny and Dan, here are some paint samples plus the panel without the Garmin GTN 750. https://a2asimulations.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=77 http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2016/02/08/comanche1.jpg http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2016/02/08/comanche2.jpg http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2016/02/08/comanche3.jpg http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2016/02/08/comanche4.jpg [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

adamb
Bill, thank you very much. :) Klee, I don't think Accu-Sim in the A2A planes would even be possible with the FS9 limitations, it is quite an experience to say the least. :) Clayton, thank you kindly. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

KCD
I wasn't suggesting that Accu-Sim make an FS-9 version, Adam, just wishful thinking. I made my decision years ago, and I'm basically happy with it. There are times when I see some of your shots that I'm prone to ponder if I should take the plunge, even at this late date. But then, I look at the size of my overall FS-9 folder, the size of my FS-9 hanger, the list of add-ons, and there's no way. But, I do like to see your shots and think about what if... adamb
Thank you Alex. :) Klee, like you I had a ton of stuff in my FS9 folder, mostly payware and I didn't want to take the plunge and start all over again. So it wasn't until about three years or so after FSX was released that I decided what the heck, it's time for something new and that was that. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
KCD
I guess it's a matter of time, Adam, but I've become very comfortable with my FS9 now. I recently spent a week or so trying to improve how it looks... finally bit the bullet and got FS Genesis, Ultimate Terrain, and Ground Environment 6, and what a difference! Here are a few shots of my "S2D Comanche". You cant get this one anywhere but at my FS9 site. The bird is portrayed in a late 50's stock factory paint job that many of these planes wore, but she is the tried and true Mike Stone model that's been around for ages. Here she is, lined up and ready to go... Stone's models never had much in the way of satisfactory panels, so that's where the "D" come in in the "S2D" designation for this plane. I spent a considerable amount of time studying the A2A Comanche panel. I cannot say with certainty that it is as the factory delivered it, but it is very nice. So I set about trying to make something close. Now I'm no panel maker, and I'm definitely not capable of constructing gauges. I did make the bit map, but the gauges I used had to come from the collection in my FS9 Gauge folder. Looking our the windscreen, over the S2D Panel (by KCD)... And, finally, here she is at a respectable 23 square cruise, about 150 knts. at slightly less than 6 gal/hour. Adam, I will admit that the S2D Comanche will not do all the things that the A2A Comanche will, and that the FS9 scenery is not up to ORBX quality, but I will also tell you that I probably get as much pleasure flying the "S2D Comanche" as anyone does flying the expensive spread! I also want to say, Adam, that your Comanche is beautiful! What I've read about it, and seen on the Internet make me very envious. It's posts like this one that will no doubt someday swing me to FSX. I'm just not ready yet, nor am I willing to give up all the planes in my hanger, most of which (like the S2D Comanche) have been painted and modified by me. I thoroughly enjoy this simulator and probably spend far too much time with it. I've recently started flying for a V.A. and concurrently doing an FS Passenger economic model that basically mirrors the VA. I'm curious to see how accurate the FS Passenger model can be when compared to the V.A. So Adam, Please keep your wonderful posts coming, and forgive me this intrusion here. What you do can not be duplicated by others, and lots have tried. I, for one, am a devoted fan. I enjoy every shot, every word, keep them coming, my friend! Thank you to all who have stopped by to read the above. None of these shots are photo shopped in any way, they have been sized for this forum only, what you see is what I get. adamb
Klee you did a super job fixing up the old girl, the paint and panel look outstanding!!! Your scenery textures look great, I used both Flight1 products as well in FS9 plus the FS Genesis mesh, of which I still use today, but for FSX. Thank you for the kind words my friend and feel free to post your own pics, it makes it that much more interesting. :) The same go's for anyone else. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
