johnrgby Posted January 24, 2016 Share Posted January 24, 2016 Hi guys when I started FS i got a sign saying 5 sets of scenery were missing from areas 38-42, so I moved them down until they were in the right areas assuming it was that simple, i now am being told they are missing from the areas they were in??? jgf Posted January 24, 2016 Share Posted January 24, 2016 The message was telling you the sim could not find the files referenced by those scenery layers. Those files could have been inadvertently deleted, moved, renamed, or they could have become corrupted, or the scenery.cfg itself could be corrupted; check those entries in the scenery.cfg, if they appear normal check that the files exist in the path listed. You may have to reinstall the scenery in question. Scenery.cfg corruption isn't uncommon. When all is working well it is a good idea to backup that file (I just right click on it and "add to zip", now there is scenery.zip in the FS9 folder I can right click and "extract here" if necessary). I use it after installing new scenery to ensure the scenery.cfg file numbers are correct.
