stretch
Moderator please post this where it will help the most, TY:) As a developer I am hearing from frustrated newcomers trying to install aircraft and sound packages in Windows 7-10. Here are some helpful tips for navigating the new operating systems: In Windows 7/8/10 the system guardian is very picky about allowing outside files and installations. You can go into the Control Panel and turn off the (User Account Control Settings). This puts the system security on standby temporarily. You can re-activate it after you've completed the installation of whatever program you are installing. Navigating your computers C: Drive To locate the Standard FSX directory use this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Simobjects\Airplanes *On Windows 7/8/10 there are two (Program Files Directories)* For FSX Steam Edition navigate using this path to locate the FSX Main Config: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE Navigate FSX SE main FSX folders:C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common/FSX Install Help YouTube Video Link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RDMFDTNJKE I do hope this helps the newcomers a bit!
