jgf Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 It also depends on which desert you are interested in; the Sahara looks different from the Gobi, which is different from Arabia, which is different from the SW US, which is different from Australia. The latter has a notably reddish tint which is well represented by the VOZ mod; I've seen screenshots of some nice newer sceneries for the Middle East which include improved textures, and there is an older (updated from CFS or CFS2 for FS2002) scenery for North Africa which works well in FS9 and has better textures.
