heddy
Hi folks An old Problem: many lakes an rivers in FS2002 and FS2004 have a wrong surface elevation and are often in wrong positions. This will stand out as soon as You start using terrain mesh, in some cases it will stand out quite clearly. If the elevation is too low You will see a canyon, which maybe acceptable in some cases, especially when the difference is not too great. But if the elevation is to high, it will look very bad. There are a lot of recommendations how to correct that, and if it is a small lake or a short portion of a river generating a flatten area is an appropriate way. But just make a trip in Venezuela along the Caroni-River around Canaima when You have istalled mesh terrain ... You have to change nearly the whole country ... So my idea was editing the HYP-Files. I could figure out with LWM-Viewer (LWM2 works also with FS2002) which files are involved. And I could dissasemble them to an .asm with BGLAnalyze. And I can reassemble them to .bgl by using BGLC. So far, so good. But how can I find the right lake or river in the .asm. I would like to avoid the trial-and-error method ....
