RTW Retro Flight #58 Mombasa to Entebbe . . . . 1960

East African Airways Flight 083 is a Lockheed Model 18-56 Lodestar on a trip from Mombasa, Protectorate of Kenya to Entebbe, Ugandan Protectorate (HKMO - HUEN). We have 325 gallons of fuel on board for this flight. The total flight time is about 3 hours and twenty minutes. We have fair weather with scatter cloud cover for most of the flight. Our cruising altitude will be 10,000 feet and our route takes us northwest over the Colony of Kenya, skirting Tanganyika, over Lake Victoria and on to the Protectorate of Uganda.

Great flight, would like to duplicate it so where can I find the East South African repaint. I have looked on Flightsim, Avsim and SOH but have been unable to locate it. I have enjoyed reading and retracing many of your previously published flights, keep them coming.

Thanks for commenting Al and Jan. :)

Al, the EAA paint is part of the original v1 installation package. I think you can get it on SOH or Simvation. Make sure you upgrade to v1.2 after you install v1.

Thanks, I will check it out. I must have deleted the first version has I know I installed it but what I have now does not contain the texture. I see the original Brown plain texture but the others are from individual installs I have installed.

Al,

check for the texture file folder: texture = eaa_vp-kfe

Also, when you are selecting aircraft under Lockheed you may find it under the "ui=type" name as shown below.

ui_manufacturer = Lockheed

ui_type = Model 18-56 Lodestar
