gypsymoth
I've been asked how the mdl files are made for use in FS9...."How do they make those buildings"? was the question. I said I'd asked because I didn't know. I thought sketchup but I said I'd ask the experts. Thanks.
scruffyduck
I think a number of different 3D design tools can be used. The important thing is to be able to export them in such a way as to create an mdl file. Something like ModelConvertX can take different format and spit out mdl files Jon Moderator Scenery Design Forum www.FlightSim.com www.airportdesigneditor.co.uk www.fsdeveloper.com www.fsdeveloper.org
gypsymoth
In that case John, is there a tool or tools you'd recommend, just in case I'm asked.....?! I've used ModelConvertX - you suggested it for a project actually.
scruffyduck
Not really since I am not a 3D object maker but Sketchup is free and there are a lot of folks using it I think Jon Moderator Scenery Design Forum www.FlightSim.com www.airportdesigneditor.co.uk www.fsdeveloper.com www.fsdeveloper.org
