Timberleaf
Why does an interior view yield the image below? It is like there is a bubble around the first-person view that makes any immediate surrounding scenery (in this case, the cabin) disappear. Any thoughts? kingnorris
Move your eyepoint forward. I think it's ctrl+backspace or something. ScatterbrainKid
Why does an interior view yield the image below? It is like there is a bubble around the first-person view that makes any immediate surrounding scenery (in this case, the cabin) disappear. Any thoughts? How did you get into the cabin like that anyway? As for the disappearing bits, that always happens (to me at least) if something's too near to the viewpoint, so I'd say it's normal. Play around with the eyepoint keys like Kingnorris said- VIRTUAL COCKPIT EYEPOINT MOVEMENT (Hold keys down to slide your eyeballs) SHIFT Enter= Up SHIFT Backspace=Down SHIFT CTRL Enter= RIGHT SHIFT CTRL Backspace= LEFT CTRL Backspace= Forward CTRL Enter= Back Hold CTRL and hit SPACE= Reset ALSO play with the Zoom in/out keys (- minus and = equals)
Jim Robinson
I'm not sure if it works with the VC view but I had the same problem in spot view in P3D2. I solved it by putting "ClipMode=Minimum" in the cameras.cfg under "spot". You could try it with Virtual Cockpit too, mine would look like this: [CameraDefinition.002] Title = Virtual Cockpit Guid = {C95EAB58-9E4A-4E2A-A34C-D8D9D948F078} Description = This is the description of the virtual cockpit view. Origin = Virtual Cockpit MomentumEffect = Yes SnapPbhAdjust = Swivel SnapPbhReturn = False PanPbhAdjust = Swivel PanPbhReturn = False Track = None ShowAxis = YES AllowZoom = TRUE InitialZoom = 0.7 SmoothZoomTime = 2.0 ZoomPanScalar = 1.0 ShowWeather = Yes XyzAdjust = TRUE ShowLensFlare=FALSE Category = Cockpit ClipMode=Minimum PitchPanRate=30 HeadingPanRate=75 PanAcceleratorTime=0 HotKeySelect=1 Cameras.cfg is located in the same folder as the fsx.cfg (%appdata%\Microsoft\FSX), start Notepad and drag cameras.cfg into the open Notepad window to edit. Probably wise to make a backup first.
