All of a sudden, I cannot see my aircraft in spot view, only the shadow

I have the FSX Gold Edition. Recently I loaded a VC-10 (FS2004) from Abacus into my FSX. The panel failed to display. The skin however, showed just like in FS2004. I deleted the add on. A couple of days later when trying to load one of my aircraft, I could see the virtual panel but no skin in spot view. Only the shadow of it on the ground. What could have gone wrong and how can I get FSX to display my aircraft in spot view again. I tried every command in "View", but no go. Even in tower view I only get to see the shadow of it. Does anybody have any ideas?

I found the answer in f16jockey_2 posting of 11-22-2011. I applied the solution listed and voila, I can see my airplanes again!!!! Thank you f16jockey_2.
