Whatever happened to "CamSim"? & A question about FlightSim.com (or other website)

I'm curious whatever happened to CamSim? I first got into FS9 back in 2010, and I could have sworn they were an active website then, but maybe I'm wrong?

Were they one of the medium sized ones (not one of the heavy hitters like an AVSIM or a FlightSim.com), but more like Simviation? Did they go under, or were they never a website with downloads and forums, but more like a private airplane "hangar" where one or two individuals would create planes (kind of like Mike Stone... back in the halcyon days of FS2004)?

And my other question is, back in 2010, I remember going on some website that was a forum/download place, and part of its wallpaper when you went on their homepage, was a diagram of a runway running from left to right on the bottom-- done up with white markings on a black background-- and it was numbered "9" on the left, and "27" on the right. Does anybody else remember that?

Was that FlightSim.com-- this place's layout 5 years ago? Or am I thinking of somewhere else? And if it is somewhere else, which website is it, and is it still around? I've been trying to find it so I can bookmark it, but to no avail.

Thanks for the help,

EDIT: Okay disregard the first question. I found it CamSim is Airbus & Boeing planes (many of them concepts) created by Camil Valiquette. I see it's not a forum/download center, but more like a small entity run by one person-- Much like Mike Stone a number of years ago.

But my 2nd question still stands.

Yes, that was FlightSim.com

Nels should reinstate it. It's like the wasp-waist shape of the coke bottle, inherently distinctive and unique to the company.

In fact, it goes back all the way to 1996 !

Webdesign sure has changed over the years :)

Nice find. NOW I remember that runway, but it doesn't 'do' anything for me. But you are right - it was unique.

Well, did you click on the runway? I did and it took me back to the Home page (again). De Ja Vu all over again. Click-ee-t-click.

John,

I was perusing A.net a couple of days ago, and ran across this thread:

http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/general_aviation/read.main/6378216/?threadid=6378216&searchid=6383241&s=boeing#ID6383241

In this A.net thread, Pic #3 has marked below it "Model by CamSim".

The name caught my eye, since you mentioned it a few weeks ago.
