Gps monitor

Greetings,

How are you going to display the map - as just a map, or as an add-on to another gauge?? if the former, then you could try resizing the GPS in a pop-up window or the virtual cockpit so that only the map shows up within the displayed boundaries of the frame

Respectfully,

Anyone know how to eliminate the buttons/switches from the GPS leaving only the map visible?

I have used two ways to do this. First, simply size the GPS bigger than the screen so the knobs and bezels are clipped off. However, this doesn't work for everyone as some find the the clipped off parts overlap ont the main display monitor. This is logical and I'm not sure why it doesn't happen for me! The only reason I can think of is I run my fourth (GPS) monitor off a separate graphics card.

The second way is to do something to the panel.cfg. Check out this post, which shows how to do it with the Reality XP GNS530. I use this as is, but you can probably figure out what the numbers mean and tinker it to fit your GPS. There's also this one.
