fess
It's good to be back. I've been away for a few months learning to fly again. Different type rating and cert. After all of these years, I'm having fun in the air again. I am using FS2002 and during a layover I had a chance to visit another pilot who in using fs2004. I really didn't see anything that made me think it was better than what I am using. What is every ones thoughts?
old_wombat
If this is important to you .... FS2004 introduced a completely new and very spectacular method of creating clouds. No doubt any number of people will bombard you with more features. Steve from Murwilllumbah.
JSMR
It also took me a long time to move from 2002 to fs9, also thinking it wasn't that much better. But I think it is. I think you'd be impressed the more you use it. https://fshub.io/airline/RUA/overview
shanwick
I really didn't see anything that made me think it was better than what I am using. Well, you've said it all really  Stay with FS2002 and save your money for something else :) Dijvid
Wing_Z
Yes indeed... But for interest sake, read this thread, almost exactly 10 years old: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?71218-Comparison-Question-FS2002-v-FS2004
drake4896
There are 82,443 items for FS2004 in the library and only 25,101 for FS2002. If your PC can run FS2004, it is only about $10 at ebay .. get it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-2004-A-Century-of-Flight-PC-Game-/231512298839?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35e7355557
Palmored
The only version of MSFS I haven't had is '98. Five years ago I found my Abacus Copilot disk and loaded 2002 which I still own today. Well after about two or three hours, I uninstalled it and put them both in my library. The number of addons beats 2002. The frame rates beat FSX. I'll be using FS9 until I can afford my über computer and upgrade all my addons.
