unclegreg
I recently downloaded "fsf_Quonset_hut.zip" from the FS2004 scenery object files over at Avsim. The zip has an .api file and bitmap texture files in it. I dropped the .api file into ModelConverterX and the model shows but without textures. So I figured I could convert it to a bgl file (that worked) and convert the bitmaps to DDS's and maybe it will work. No go. MCX will not load any type of texture onto the model. It's from 2003 so my question is can it ever work in FSX? As always, thanks in advance. unclegreg
StringBean
It works great. One catch with the old .API files is the bitmaps are in a folder named textures. MCX and FS look for a folder named texture, singular, not plural. To load in MCX move the .API into the textures folder before loading into MCX. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? unclegreg
Thanx Stringbean! I carefully checked the spelling on all the bitmaps but missed the "big picture". I deleted the s on textures, dropped the bgl into MCX and poof, there it is! That's why I love Flightsim. unclegreg.
