On the machine with the USB stick and throttle showed response after X Plane asked if I wanted to calibrate. I got a lot more bars than the three I get on the other machine. I matched every thing up with the pitch, roll, throttle, but when I tried to fly the helicopter the controls were unresponsive. I give it a little throttle and it takes off out of control and crashes. Where is the point of view? Why won't my POV switch not work? Why can't I back off the view enough to see the controls and where I am flying? In the instruction it states to make sure the USB stick is hooked up ... does this mean it won't recognize a analog stick??? It shouldn't matter like with the other software I use with it.

Well sir ... I found my answer in the online manual ...

Note: X‑Plane can only interface with USB devices. This covers nearly all the controllers manufactured in the last ten years, but if you have a non-USB device, an adapter will be needed to change it to a USB input.

That's bad news ...while I have the adapters to run the analog devices I will have to keep switching back and forth so I will have full function of the stick in FS 2004. Oh dear.

Well sir ... just want to report that I hook up a Manhattan game port to usb adapter and X Plane can now see the stick and throttle. And to my delight with the adapter hooked up everything still works in FS9.

The adapter solved my problem. :)

Thanks for reading my posts.
