wyodeacon
I have been adding sceneries to my library but have deleted a couple of them and now find I have blank spaces in the library. For instance: 1,2,3 have scenery then 5 and 7 are blank. I have tried clicking on the arrow on the left to turn it off. Have also tried to delete the blank spaces but they just show up again. First, will this hurt anything? Second is there a way to get rid of them so all the scenery spaces are filled? StringBean
Get the "Utility to sort and renumber scenery.cfg layers" tool from- http://fst.stevemg.net/resources-g.shtml Process your scenery.cfg with that tool and see if it helps. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? wyodeacon
Thanks StringBean. I went to your link but don't see a download. Also this says it's only been tested with 2002 and 2004 Dell XPS 8700 -win 10 - 16 gb DDR3 ram - NVIDIA GeForce 750 ti - Saitek X52 - FSX Deluxe w/acceleration
StringBean
If you hover your cursor over "Utility to sort and renumber scenery.cfg layers" you will see that it is a download link. It works fine in FSX, the scenery.cfg has not changed in several versions. In fact, if you open the FSX scenery.cfg in Notepad you will see... [General] Title=FS9 World Scenery Description=FS9 Scenery Data ...at the top. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots. wyodeacon
OK. I ran the utility then opened FSX and looked at the scenery. The gaps were still there. I then Selected each blank area and deleted it. It worked and looks good now. Thanks Bean. :) Dell XPS 8700 -win 10 - 16 gb DDR3 ram - NVIDIA GeForce 750 ti - Saitek X52 - FSX Deluxe w/acceleration
