Scenery Library

I have been adding sceneries to my library but have deleted a couple of them and now find I have blank spaces in the library. For instance: 1,2,3 have scenery then 5 and 7 are blank. I have tried clicking on the arrow on the left to turn it off. Have also tried to delete the blank spaces but they just show up again.

First, will this hurt anything? Second is there a way to get rid of them so all the scenery spaces are filled?

If you hover your cursor over "Utility to sort and renumber scenery.cfg layers" you will see that it is a download link.

It works fine in FSX, the scenery.cfg has not changed in several versions.

In fact, if you open the FSX scenery.cfg in Notepad you will see...

Title=FS9 World Scenery

Description=FS9 Scenery Data

OK. I ran the utility then opened FSX and looked at the scenery. The gaps were still there. I then Selected each blank area and deleted it. It worked and looks good now.

Thanks Bean. :)
