Jim77
Can anyone explain how to make reverse italic letters and numbers? I can make italic so that registration numbers are leaning one way, (aft at the top) but only on one side of the aircraft. The other side would be leaning forward at the top. I know it CAN be done, as I see it on many textures. Just flipping the texture won't do as the letters and numbers would be mirror image (backward). I'm using DXTBmp and paint.net to make some custom aircraft. Thanks.
fxsttcb
I've had limited success using Gimp2's "Shear" function. Make your straight colored text in paint.net using a background color close to what will be on the plane. Copy/Paste into Gimp. Transform/Shear. After the "Shear" is done, and copied back to paint.net then when you make the background tranparent for a copy/paste op onto your master(norm) bitmap, that will have a better color match at the edges of the text. Unfortunately, most "Transforms" in Gimp will still give ragged, off color edges...Don HAF 932 Adv, PC P&C 950w, ASUS R4E,i7-3820 5.0GHz(MCR320-XP 6 fans wet), GTX 970 FTW 16GB DDR3-2400, 128GB SAMSUNG 830(Win 7 Ult x64), 512GB SAMSUNG 840 Pro(FSX P3D FS9) WD 1TB Black(FS98, CFS2&3, ROF, etc.), WD 2TB Black-(Storage/Backup) Active Sky Next, Rex4 TD/Soft Clouds
