springbok12
I like flying in Africa whilst I have excellent scenery for South Africa and Zimbabwe everything else is crap. I'd like a decent Mombassa , Jomo Kenyatta , Kilimanjaro , Maputo , Lusaka , Windhoek , Luanda etc. Does any by know of sites either payware or freeware where I can get these sceneries . Ant pointers appreciated
shanwick
Here is a link to a fairly comprehensive list of what's available - freeware or payware. http://www.freewarescenery.com/fs2004.html Africa is a big place so I don't know if there is anything here to suit you. Tushka
Africa is the most neglected continent in FS. In fact for the capital of Nigeria, default airport for it was only a small strip! Hard to find sceneries for it, there's a few decent paywares but that's it. Could be anything ranging from lack of interests to them not want to fly, or economy. jgf
Aeroworx has quite a few scenery files for Africa, most are available here or on avsim; listing here: http://aeroworxsa.blogspot.com/p/fs.html Micro$oft was quite negligent with most of the world outside of North America and Europe, I recall finding a city of seven million people represented by a couple of runways in a clearing in the woods. leuen
Meanwhile Bastian Blinten released here some Central African airports (Brazzaville, Bangui and Yaoundé). It's a welcome replacement of the default sceneries. Hopefully we will get some more of them! Thanks Bastian. Bernard
