Navigation Lights Help

I have noticed that on some aircraft, the navigation lights switch turns on the panel lights (if no panel lights switch is equipped). Is it possible to make it so that the navigation lights switch will only affect the navigation lights? Perhaps an edit of the aircraft.cfg file? Thanks.

I use the standard Gmax plugin xml for nav lights & in that case they are built into the model & cannot be changed in the aircraft.cfg....but you will also find that the switch logic between the nav light switch & the panel light switch is such that you can then turn the nav lights off whilst leaving the panel lights on & vice versa!

In the aircraf cfg under the lights section you will notice after each light.xx entry there is a number after the equal sign. Example Light.0 = 1. That number (is this example the number one) identifies what type of light it is. 1 is a rotating beacon. 2 is a strobe. 3 is navigation lights. 4 are cockpit lighting. 5 is landing and so on. If turning on the navigation lights also turns on the cockpit lighting then the VC lights in the cfg file are assigned the number 3 instead of 4. If all the numbering is correct than it is probably hard coded in the model.
