Pattern altitude

Pattern altitude is the recommended (and usually published) altitude at which a traffic pattern (or circuit) should be flown at a specific airport. This is generally from 600 feet to 1,000 feet AGL for light aircraft, and typically 1,000 to 1,500 feet AGL for faster and heavier aircraft.
