/images/notams/notams20/xfer1012.jpgA little bit of a random update and some background story this time. If you follow our progress from the very start you might rememberthat we started our development in early 2017 on X-Plane 10. Whilebuilding objects and creating textures is not really affected by thesimulator you are using them on (with certain exceptions obviously)systems are a whole different story. Over the few past years we managed to more or less successfullyignore the fact that we have to convert our systems from X-Plane 10 to11 at some point in time and we just continued programming on X-Plane10 basis. While we made great progress on the Helionix systems and all other"non object stuff" we always feared of running into some big problemswhen converting to X-Plane 11. Furthermore, this forced us to hold back on some X-Plane 11 perksand made developing challenging sometimes. So, we are pleased (and still slightly nervous) to announce that wescrapped the X-Plane 10 version and started focusing on X-Plane 11only. As expected, we already ran into some minor and some major bugsof which some of them are already fixed and some of them unfortunatelyare not. Yet. Hopefully. This will make development not only easier but much more enjoyableas we can benefit from focusing on one platform. So long, bear withus. Source

/images/notams/notams19/xfer1224/xfer1224.jpgChristmas is coming up and 2019 is coming to an end. It was anexciting year with good progress and we learned more about X-Planedevelopment. While we had great success in expanding our system depthand managed to almost complete the 3D model of the helicopter, we alsotook a big lesson in time management and learned that things do notalways go according to plan. If you had asked us about a release date exactly one year ago, we,as you most likely know and expect by now would have said "we don'tknow", but in our minds we were certain that we could release the H145in 2019. What we really didn't know was how busy we were going to beand how little time we would have to work on the H145. The H145 isgoing to be a freeware add-on and so this is essentially the price ittakes for doing this as a hobby. /images/notams/notams19/xfer1224/xfer-design-2.jpgWe really do not want to rush this since we want to keep a certainstandard even if this is just a freeware add-on. When we startedworking on the H145 we have committed ourselves to release thehelicopter as a complete pack, with a VIP and rescue version and withall necessary equipment and parts and so on and to stay away fromreleasing a "pre-release" version or a "beta" or whatever you want tocall it. With that being said, we decided to reduce our plan and to work ona very basic version for an initial release. We have not yetdetermined what "basic version" means but we think this is the rightway forward. After that we will work on updates, e.g., SARequipment. /images/notams/notams19/xfer1224/xfer-design-1.jpgAs always, we will keep you updated. This will be our last update for this year, and we want to thankevery one of you for your kind words under every post we have made inthe past! /images/notams/notams19/xfer1224/xfer-design-3.jpgSource
