/images/notams/notams22/fsla0513.jpgIt's been a couple months since our last news, so I wanted to takethis opportunity and give you an update of our current projectdevelopment status. We've so far been very quiet as regards our MSFS development plans- we've taken some time to investigate the best possible way to bringour product family into the new platform while maintaining a commoncode base that still keeps a high level of realism and fidelity asregards the flight model characteristics our customer base has beenused to up to now. Given the well documented state of the MicrosoftFlight Simulator SDK we are continuing our efforts to innovate beyondthe platforms' current limitations. Over the last eighteen months, FSLabs has undergone a period ofgrowth where we've brought a number of new developers on board as wellas a new support team member and this allows us to utilize functionalteams to develop our products in parallel. A few words regarding our current product road map: We're very excited to be working on the A320 NEO which we expect tomake available on the Prepar3D platform initially. The A320 NEO willjoin the A320-X Master Series line of products that we are working tobring onto the MSFS platform. We also expect to release the Concorde on Prepar3D first and again,we're working to release it to the MSFS platform. We will be excitedto share more previews of this title as it enters beta testing in thenext six to eight weeks! We're also happy to announce that the A3XX product that we've beenteasing for a while now is in fact the Airbus A330. We've been workingon this product along side our other development and we expect to giveyou more news on that later on. Last but not least, as promised in my last news announcement, we'reexcited to bring a functional update to the A319/A320/A321 WTF seriesthat brings the EFB, and Jump Ahead feature to these aircraft (forowners of the Sharklets series) as part of today's update that willbecome available in the next few hours as part of our experimentalchannel. This update will also include more fixes and improvements tothe FMGC logic as part of our continued commitment to supporting ourexisting product family. As always, thank you for your continued support! Source

/images/notams/notams20/fsla0903.jpgDespite no longer flying in the real world, Concorde is still muchin demand among flightsimmers. Today Flight Sim Labs (FSLabs)has issued the briefest of teases, showing a single picture ofConcorde with no text to accompany it at all. Comments seem tospeculate that it is most likely for Prepar3D though a lot with for anMSFS 2020 version. Source FlightSimLabs Releases A320-X/A321-X Update FlightSimLabs P3D v5 News Update

/images/notams/notams20/labs0728/fslabs-2.jpgA320-X / A321-X - Update v5.0.1.103 now available. I am happy to announce that our latest updates (v5.0.1.103) for theA320-X and A321-X are now live and available through our downloadpage. This is the first update that makes the A321-X compatible with P3Dv5, which brings significant improvements in performance, as well asseveral updates and fixes to the base code. In this update, you will find external model PBR texturing for theA321-X was updated to bring it up to v5 standards, adding severalimprovements which follow the A320-X update, such as dynamic cabinwindow blinds logic, newly tuned dynamic lights, effects and splashes, overlays redone using PBR techniques, contrail fixes for P3D v5 andother small cosmetic fixes which add to the immersion. /images/notams/notams20/labs0728/fslabs-1.jpgWe also added several fixes to the code, such as cockpit dooropen/close logic for the various panel states (Cold & Dark, On APU, OnGPU, Engines Running), a fix to the VOR Radios logic to not showradials when an ILS frequency is tuned, logic fixes to the FWC EMERCANC button functionality and other small updates. As usual, you willfind the complete list of updates at the end of this note. Source

/images/notams/notams20/fsla0417.jpgAs with many developers, FlightSimLabs has made an announcementin regards to the release this week of Prepar3D v5, as well as the P3D v4.5hotfix 3. The P3D v4.5 hotfix will require that FSLabs products be updated tosupport it, so users should expect a compatibility only update withinthe next few days. The P3D v5 release includes underlying engine code changes as well asthings like changing from DX11 to DX12 which require testing of theentire product line, which is still underway. Updates when availablewill be free of charge to existing customers. In addition, plans for a number of FSLabs aircraft were announced, including the A320-X, A321-X, A319-X and a new expansion product, the "Sharklets". Source

/images/notams/notams20/fsla0130.jpgI am happy to announce that our latest update (v2.0.2.440) for theA320-X, A319-X and A321-X for P3D v4 (64-bit) is now live andavailable through our download page. This update brings some fixes and improvements to items reportedsince our v434 release. Notably in this version, you will find a fixfor the STD ATSU leap year issue, as well as fixes in friction logicthat caused high brake temperatures in "hard winter" scenarios. Note that you will need to download updated versions of the FSLabsprovided liveries, as there were a few small differences in theupdated models which require the affected liveries to be updated aswell. We have already updated those for your downloading pleasure. A few people are wondering what is to follow - we have alreadyshared that we have been working on a Sharklets extension to ouradd-on family, this should be available for purchase within the comingmonths. Development work to follow that project is under way, but it'sheavily influenced by the release timetables of Microsoft FlightSimulator (or "FS2020" as people have started calling it now) and, contrary to a few other developers out there, we'd rather announcemore detailed plans for it as soon as we have coordinated scheduleswith Microsoft (way too many NDAs and I am surprised how some peopletend to ignore them). The A321-X paint kit is ready and we expect to have it uploadedwithin the next 24-48 hours as well. Source

/images/notams/notams19/labs1224.jpgThe biggest and longest cousin in the A32X Series family, theA321-X accommodates for much bigger statistics, such as three seatingconfigurations and a maximum takeoff weight of approximately 93.5tons. Expanding on FSLabs' ground-breaking visual effects, windshieldrain and airframe icing simulation, along with a fully custom animatedexternal model and FSLabs' unique 3D sound engineering, the A321-Xdebuts the Cabin Camera System, integrated into the lower ECAMdisplay, to show a live video feed of the cabin, while passengers areboarding and de-boarding, integrating very closely with FSDreamTeam'sGround Services X (GSX) Level 2. The A321-X features A321-specific flight dynamics, engineperformance models and handling characteristics developed inconsultation with real airline pilots and using thousands of datapoints derived from hundreds of test flights in the realaircraft. Both the CFM56-5B3 and IAE V2533-A5 engine variants arefaithfully reproduced, including each engine type's unique performancecharacteristics. Each engine variant has its own sound set, utilizinghundreds of recordings from the real aircraft and FSLabs' unique 3Dsound design techniques to provide a truly immersive and realisticsound experience from every angle, whether you're in the cabin, on theflight deck or outside the aircraft. FeaturesHigh detail modeling with full PBR textures on the external model. The first aircraft title featuring CPDLC allowing users the unique opportunity to interact with ATC via datalink communications.A unique to the A321 fuel system without outer wing tanks found in other A32X variants, plus optional additional center tanks (ACTs) allowing a total fuel capacity of 23,770kg and increasing flight time by up to 7 hours.60 additional flight warning computer sheets of logic specifically for the A321-X variant.A new high-definition takeoff performance system generating precise performance features for a given takeoff runway.Custom ground friction models to simulate proper ground handling (single engine taxi).Brake models tuned to match real world performance in all weather environmentsOver 60,000 electrical components simulated and connected via simulated electrical and data driven networks.Complete flight control system, featuring Normal Law, Alternate Law, Abnormal Attitude Law, Direct Law and Mechanical Backup.
