  1. /images/notams/notams22/fs2c1122.jpgPMDG 737 MSFS drivers, please note that FS2Crew’s highlyanticipated PMDG 737 Edition for MSFS is wrapping up internal testingand about to enter a wider beta using primarily real-world 737pilots. FS2Crew expects the beta process to be relatively short. We can’tgive an exact date, but we’re hoping to release it within a coupleweeks. Key word – hoping! FS2Crew for the MSFS PMDG 737 will feature human voice sets andallow users to simulate professional multi crew style flying usingvoice or button control, with an emphasis on 737 specific checklists, flows and crew interactions. We are working to port the huge number of user options we had inthe FSX/P3D versions of FS2Crew 737 into MSFS. Emergency NGX,however, will come later. (Note: In the last FS2Crew release for the Fenix we experimentedwith Azure Synthetic voices, but our user base rebelled against themso human recorded voices will be in the initial 737 release. Sorryabout that, guys, we learned our lesson!) The first release of FS2Crew for the PMDG 737 includes SOP 1: stockBoeing procedures. Subsequent SOPs will be released at later dates. FS2Crew also reminds its users to check the FS2Crew Product Managerto ensure they have the latest FS2Crew versions for Pushback Express, the Aerosoft CRJ, the Leonardo Maddog, the Fenix Airbus and the FBWA32NX. DescriptionDon’t walk your MadDog alone – bring the Crew! The Maddog for MSFS is one of the best -and deepest- commercialairliner addons for MSFS. However, it’s not an automated jet, and itespecially needs a trusty crew to help you get from terminal toterminal. This plane was never meant to be flown single pilot! That's where FS2Crew steps in! 4. /images/notams/notams22/raas0604.jpgMake your flights in Microsoft Flight Simulator safer and more realistic by adding RAAS to your aircraft! RAAS Professional (Runway Awareness and Advisory System) models the aural 'Smart Landing' and 'Smart Runway' calls included in the real-world Honeywell RAAS unit. These audio calls offer improved situational awareness for pilots to help reduce the risk of runway incursions and accidents by providing aural alerts during taxi, takeoff, final approach and landing/roll-out operations. Many real-world airlines have RAAS installed on their aircraft to improve safety. The software is professional grade, highly configurable, and is ideal for power users who want to model airline-specific options and who want maximum control over how RAAS functions in flight simulator. We studied the Honeywell RAAS manuals down to every last detail, and modeled every system with an eye toward achieving ultimate technical accuracy. Controllable via the MSFS Toolbar.Works with all aircraft in your hangar.Powerful user options give you complete control over RAAS, and allow for complete customization to match you or your Virtual Airline’s specific needs.Create aircraft specific RAAS Profiles for individual aircraft.New feature! Create, share and import custom Airport Profiles for ‘encrypted airports’.Current LimitsRAAS is currently unable to directly read runway data from airports whose data is “encrypted†and therefore not read-able by 3rd parties. However, in a recent update, we added a new Airport Runway Profile Tool that allows users to create, share and import user created runway profiles whose data cannot be otherwise read directly. This allows RAAS to function at encrypted airports! Purchase FS2Crew - RAAS Pro for MSFS See other FS2Crew products for MSFS 2020

Oh, and yes, we're hard at work too. We're going to try something very experimental and new in the 737... and the Maddog... But the Maddog will be coming first. We need the SDK from PMDGfirst before we can legally interface with their plane. Source

We are "hoping" to have it ready bythe end of the month. Key word "hoping". We at FS2Crew would like to thank everyone for their massivesupport since the launch of MSFS! 8. /images/notams/notams21/fs2c1224.jpgThis will take the place of the Weekend update! PRODUCT MANAGER: Version 0.4 is now available. It adds theability to uninstall as well as install. It also makes some otherchanges. The Product Manager will auto update when you run it. Issue with users using the "PREVIEW/INSIDER" build of Windows 11:We think we know what the issue is now after having some users run atest with a log. It appears Microsoft deprecated a feature we use inthe preview/insider build. We'll address this asap. RAAS for MSFS: I just did some tests on it. It's workingvery good, but there a couple issues I found that need to resolvedbefore we can release it to the Beta Team. We are trying very hard torelease RAAS before the end of the year. FBW A32NX: Updates incoming, mostly minor stuff. Pushback Express: We've made very good progress onautomating Distance Pushback mode even more so you don't need to enteran aircraft offset when setting the Arrow over the taxiway. Thismakes PBE kinda like Better Pushback for X-Plane with this newfunctionality. Update incoming. UGCX 2.3 Final: After RAAS is released, we're dedicating asolid week to pushing out UGCX 2.3 Final. The 2.3 UGCX beta has a fewbugs which we want to clear away. CRJ for MSFS: Coming after releasing UGCX 2.3 Final. TheCRJ should come pretty quick, because with the FBW A320 version whichmanaged to establish a very "solid system" in MSFS. So it's no longera matter of learning and experimenting in MSFS anymore. We can justgo ahead and "do it". PMDG 737 for MSFS: Probably coming after the CRJ. Itdepends on when PMDG releases it and what's happening on their SDKfront. Could be soon. Could be later. It all depends on TeamPMDG. Discord Server: We've joined the 21st century and created aDiscord Server. We'd like you to join it! Here's the link:https://discord.gg/ZJ4HKx727m Predictions For Next Year2022 will be big. We're going to see a lot of complex 3rd partyplanes becoming available for MSFS, and of course it's not realisticto fly them single pilot, so we have our work cut out for us! And thank you all for supporting FS2Crew! Source FS2Crew products are available at the FlightSim.Com Store
  9. Pushback ExpressPublisher: FS2CrewReview Author: MrYorkiesWorldSuggested Price: $19.95/images/fsc/wbicons/store-buy-now-button.pngIntroductionMicrosoft Flight Simulator (2020) hasbeen with us since August 2020, and one thing that many of us havewanted since its release is a better pushback system. The one builtinto the simulator itself works as a basic system but doesn't provideany real immersion or realism. It is very plain and simple and can beaccessed either by a combination on the keyboard of Ctrl+J, or via thein-sim menus, and that is as far as things really go. /images/reviews/pushbkex/t/1.jpgLuckily, FS2Crew have released Pushback Express for MSFS, which isa very basic, yet powerful tool which allows you to control thepushback yourself, open aircraft doors, request a range of differentservices and even control the pushback with your voice! It really is amust-have add-on for MSFS in my opinion, and I'm very excited to giveit a review. FeaturesSo as I touched upon earlier this really is a simple tool, andalthough it doesn't have every single one of the features that GSXdoes for example, it does make your simming experience a whole loteasier. One awesome thing about this software is the tooltips feature, which combines perfectly with the default MSFS interface to teach youhow to use the software if you are unsure how to. This is excellentfor people such as myself who don't have time to study user manuals orinstructions and just want to get right into things and learn rightaway. Another great feature that I liked was the ability to manuallysteer the pushback truck or tug using the joystick axis.Unfortunately, the software itself doesn't currently work the same wayas GSX where it automatically detects which directions are availablefor push and where the taxiways are, etc. but that tiny little issueis blown right out of the water by the ability to actually controlyour own pushback vehicles! Manually controlling the tug isn't the only way you can push orpull to where you want to go. The software also lets you make use ofthe keyboard to do the same task, or to choose a "distance" basedpushback which will simply push your aircraft back to a certain,user-defined distance from the gate or ramp. You can also use your microphone to speak to the software tocontrol several aspects of your pre-flight experience. InterfaceThe interface for this software is very basic, yet veryprofessional-looking. You have the ability to double-click the titlebar of the window which will collapse it down, and the window itselfseems to default to a "bring to front" mode which prevents you fromclicking on something else on a second screen and having to fumblearound to find it again. /images/reviews/pushbkex/t/interface.jpgAlthough some users might find this a little annoying, I was unableto find an option to disable this "bring to front" behaviour, butsince I use a second screen this didn't really affect me at all. The buttons on the main interface seem to be pretty basic and easyto understand. You have everything you need on there such as openingaircraft doors, requesting ground power, requesting stairs, etc. You can also go into the settings of the program to modify thingssuch as the pushback sensitivity, pushback distance (if you're usingDistance Mode), enabling or disabling tooltips, or indeed if you wantto enable or disable the inbuilt pilot and ground crew voices. You canalso select from a range of different pilot and ground crew voiceswhich seem to be quite well made, and add to the overall immersion. /images/reviews/pushbkex/t/settings_page.jpgThere is also the ability to bind certain functions to custom keyson your keyboard which is nice to see. It makes things a lot easierthan manually selecting things from the software interface. PerformanceWith regards to performance, I can safely say that I foundabsolutely no impact on frame rates from using the software itself -there were no stutters or visual bugs. Although it might not come under performance specifically, I didnotice sometimes that the pushback tug seems to randomly disappearonce the pushback is complete, as opposed to returning back to itsproper position on the ramp. I'm sure this is something that is easilyfixed and will probably be improved in a future update. In terms of how the software itself actually works and performswhen you're using it, again I found no issues whatsoever. It doesn'tseem to crash to desktop or lag in any way, and all the relevantfunctions and buttons work as expected. Price Point And MarketplaceFS2Crew Pushback Express can be purchased for $19.95 currently, which I think is a brilliant price for such an easy-to-use andfeature-packed piece of software. /images/reviews/pushbkex/t/2.jpgFinal VerdictWould I recommend FS2Crew Pushback Express? Of course, I would, itis a must-have piece of software for Microsoft Flight Simulator. It isbasic enough for people who don't want too much complication, butsophisticated enough to pack a punch when compared to other tools onthe market of this type that we have available for P3D or FSX. No doubt FS2Crew will be constantly providing updates for thissoftware which will allow it to develop and improve over time, and inthe future we will probably see a whole range of improvements, features and fixes. Thanks to my friends over at FlightSim.Com for providing me with acopy of this awesome software. /images/reviews/pushbkex/title3.jpgMrYorkiesWorld Purchase FS2Crew - Pushback Express for MSFS 2020 See other FS2Crew add-ons for MSFS 2020
  10. /images/notams/notams21/fs2c1213.jpgFS2Crew Friends, we have two big announcements this fine holiday season! 1. The new Product Manager is now online. From now on, you'll bedownloading MSFS FS2Crew products via the Product Manager, not viayour on-line account. This is a much better system than before. It's way easier to getupdates now. Product Manager Download Link (If it doesn't run, check your Firewall/Antivirus. Sometimes theycan block programs.) 2. FS2Crew for the FBW A32NX and Pushback Express have beenupdated. You can update them via the Product Manager. This biggest change is in PBE, however, and it's for "DISTANCEPUSHBACK" mode. We've added an arrow to mark the taxiway line. It allows you toeasily set the final pushback heading and turn point. No one else in MSFS can currently do this. MSFS has a lot of limits, and we're adapting and overcoming them fast. This new update brings us pretty close to automatic pushbacks, which is what most users really want above all else. We suspect from now own no one will use Rudder Control Mode anymore. Everyone will be using "Distance Pushback Mode", which will be big change from before! At any rate, watch the video! I demonstrated it! Source
  11. /images/notams/notams21/fs2c1119.jpgA public beta version of FS2Crew: Pushback Expressfor owners may be downloaded via this link: https://downloads.fs2crew.com/fs2crew_downloads/public_betas/fs2crew_msfs_public_betas.zip Major changes include: Virtual Reality support (MSFS ToolBar Integration). Functionslike VOICE ASSIST, etc, can now be run directly inside the MSFSToolbar via the FS2Crew Command Center. If using DISTANCE PUSHBACK MODE, users now place a visual flag (aMarshaller model) on the target taxiway location to help the tugautomatically pushback the aircraft to the taxiway. It's not 100percent automatic, though, users will still need to enter an offsetvalue for their aircraft), but it's much better than the oldsystem.Pushback Express is a professional pushback utility for MSFS thatallows users to interact with the tug using voice or button control. It supports multiple languages - English, French, German andSpanish. 12. /images/notams/notams21/fs2c1115/fs2c1115.jpgExciting news for Pushback Express users for MSFS andvirtual reality: Last week brought you Virtual Realty / Command Center integrationfor FS2Crew: FBW A32NX along with a host of other improvements, especially in the joystick/keyboard handing department. This weekwe're bringing you the same thing to Pushback Express! If you're using FS2Crew for the FBW A32NX, please use the latestpublic beta version. If you just purchased FS2Crew, remember that thedownload file for the public beta is not the same file as the one inyour account. You need to use the public beta links! /images/notams/notams21/fs2c1115/pushback-express.jpgNotes: 1. This is the download link for the latest FBW and PBE public betas. Download Link 2. You do not need to uninstall them first. 3. You need to own a legal copy of FS2Crew to use the public betas. 4. The public betas for FBW and PBE are very solid. We stronglysuggest using them -but remember they are still technically publicbetas. 5. After installing for the 1st time, you may see the FS2Crew PBEpanel appears way too big (huge black rectangular area... don't sendme a support ticket!). Instead, move or hide the panel. Behind the big panel window is amessage box asking you to give admin rights to our server that we usecontrol the Command Center. After you click "YES" for giving the FS2Crew server that requiredadmin permissions, the FS2Crew panel will return to normal size. 6. Due to a tech limit, we cannot currently auto size the FS2CrewCommand Center panel. You will need to manually enlarge it toaccommodate the various FS2Crew buttons and text boxes. 7. You must "Launch" FS2Crew (Pushback Express or Flight Crew A320)every time you want to run the program, even if you see the extrasub-panel commands. The original stand-alone FS2Crew panel (the one you're used toseeing that does not reside in the Command Center Tool Bar) must stillbe allowed to run. However, you can keep it minimized if you justwant to use the Command Center so that way you don't have to see it. To minimize the FS2Crew panel, click the PIN icon, then press theyellow minimize icon (yellow circle button. 9. PBE now features a brand new function never before seen. Asmentioned, we're learning new things about MSFS everyday. And onething we discovered was how to control and place ground objects. That said, if you're in "Distance Pushback" mode, but you can'teyeball the distance to the taxiway line, you can now use a Marshallericon as a "market flag" so to speak. The marshaller can be toggled on / off using the buttons shownbelow in the screen shot, and you can set the distance at which hewill appear. The represents the point at which the airplane willturn. We'll see if we can find a way to compute the turn radius soyou can put the marshaller right on the taxi way line to give you amore accurate distance push. However, it's a neat little trick we hope will improve your"Distance Pushbacks" so you can get closer to the taxiway line. Screen shot showing the new VR/Command Center integration withPushback Express along with the Distance Pushback "turn point" flag(marshaller model). As you can see, the ASSIST panel is shown in the Tool Bar / CommandCenter. If using Voice Control, you don't need to memorize anyphrases. Just speak what's listed in the ASSIST panel. It supports multiple languages (English, French, German and Spanish). Source Purchase FS2Crew - Pushback Express for MSFS v2
  13. /images/notams/notams21/fs2c1027.jpgBig news! Our experiments with essentially controlling and displaying FS2Crew"inside" MSFS via the MSFS Toolbar have proven very successful! This is a really big leap for us, since this is something very fewdevelopers can do, and it really sets FS2Crew miles apart from thepack. In practical terms, what this means is that you can "control" FBWand PBE directly through the ToolBar (not just 'launch' them via theToolbar). We can even display "ASSIST" information in the MSFS Toolbar. You no longer really need to control FS2Crew through via thestandalone EXE. The EXE will mainly just be used for usersettings. This is especially good news for Virtual Reality headset users, whocan't see stand-alone panels that run outside of MSFS. We still need to polish the integration with the Tool bar / FS2Crewcontrol a bit more. We hope to release it to the public late nextweek as a new public beta. Also, our new keyboard button / joystick control system is waybetter than before. We dropped Simconnect for joystick / keyboardcontrol and instead control joystick/keyboard buttons via DirectXnow. This makes for vastly better joystick/button control, and no needto worry about the FS2Crew panel being in focus or not being in focusfor buttons to be detected. Remember you can still download the v1.1 public beta via the linksin the forum. We encourage all users to always use the latest publicbeta's for FBW and PBE. They're pretty solid. Looking further ahead: I'm getting a lot of emails asking when we'll be releasing FS2Crewfor the CRJ, upcoming PMDGs, etc. Our plan is to "make perfect" FBWand PBE. As you've noticed, we're changing and updating it almostbi-weekly. Once FBW and PBE are essentially "perfect" with all the latestfunctionality we want (such as the Tool Bar and joystick functionsmentioned in this post), we can proceed very quickly with the CRJ andother aircraft. The goal right now is to establish a "perfect" system, and once theperfect system is established, then we can branch out to newplanes. You'll note that the system right now is already very solid. Wehave almost no support issues. Our new audio system is extremely robust (much better than theFSX/P3D audio engine), and we don't have to reply on editing panel.cfgfiles like we did in FSX/P3D (that could sometimes beproblematic). 17. /images/notams/notams20/fs2c0925.jpgChangelog v2.1 1. Support for latest development version of the FBW A32NX (theyrecently changed their parking brake lever code). If using PBE andthe FBW, you are now required to use the development version of theFBW A32NX. If you don't have that plane, go get it. It's free and it's the best Airbus out there for MSFS: https://flybywiresim.com/ 2. Pushback Procedure changed! We can now have the tug"pre-connect" to the aircraft, making your experience much morerealistic. However, this necessitated a procedural change. Now, in button andvoice control, tell the ramp crew that you'll be ready in a fewminutes via voice or button control. The tug will connect to the aircraft and hold position. Then whenyou're ready to push, you'll tell the ramp crew you're ready to startthe pushback and the tug crew will tell you to release brakes. This is procedurally much more realistic than the previousversions, where the ramp agents would tell you to release the parkingbrakes well before the tug had arrived. The manuals are in the zip file, but you can also access them here: http://www.support.fs2crew.com/help/manuals/#pageid=pushback_express 3. New! Voice Control feature - "Voice Command Helper". This newsystem displays on screen what you need to say -and when- if usingvoice control. The benefit is you no longer need to reference a manual or memorizevoice phrases. Supports English, French, German and Spanish text. This is actually one of V2.1's best new features! 4. New! On-line map! Click the new Globe icon on the Main Panel. 5. New! We've double the resolution of the panels, making that lookvastly sharper and crisper. We've also improved the panel layout. 6. New! Night lighting option and panel opacity slider. 7. PBE will now "auto close" after completing your pushback. 8. New Push-to-Talk trigger option. In addition to using a hotkeyor having an open mic, you can now use your mouse button to press thePush-to-Talk key. Left click and hold over the new microphoneicon. 9. Collapse panel code updated to account for users with nonstandard resolutions. 10. Usage tips updated (remember, you can turn them off. Once youknow the system, you don't need them. It's just for learners). 11. PBE will now auto detect if Nahamic or Asus Sound Studio isrunning the background, and issue a warning if detected. 12. Speech recognition support for users with their speechrecognizer set to Australia improved. The buttons you must set are asfollows: ControlPurposeSETTINGS - CONTROLS Menu AssignmentMain ButtonYou will use this button 99 percent of the time to progress through the simulation, and to trigger the commands displayed on the left side of the MAIN PANELALTERNATE STATIC SOURCE (ON/OFF)Secondary ButtonTo respond to requests from the flight crewPROPELLER SYNC (ON/OFF)MAIN PANELOpens or closes the Main PanelReview Of The FeaturesThe Main Panel /images/reviews/fs2cqots/t/FS2Crew-PMDG-747-QOTS-09.jpgThe user interface is primarily contained in the main panel, in theform of a bar which you place at the top of your screen. The StandardOperating Procedures (SOPs) are presented as a sequential flow, withthe present stage being displayed in the left side of the bar. Whenthe Main Button is pressed, this initiates the command for the FirstOfficer to perform the duty specified in the display. For example, when PREFLIGHT CHECKLIST is displayed in the Main Panel, hitting themain button prompts the First Officer to callout this checklist. TheFirst Officer automatically answers to his/her duties for thechecklist, when you as the Captain must respond to your concerns ofthe checklist. The arrows on the right side of the display of the Main Panelallows the user to progress through the sequential stages of the SOPs,forward or backward. This is useful if you have loaded a flight, whichis in the decent of approach phase of the flight, and you require theFirst Officer to perform the duties of that phase. Simmer Opinion of the Main Panel: The Main Panel is very easy touse, and allows the user navigate through all the features of theprogram quickly. It is very good. The Secondary PanelThe Secondary Panel contains the administrative features of theprogram and allows you to run the Preflight Events, set up theDeparture and Approach Briefings, communicate with your flight andground crew, and configure the application (settings). Departure And Approach Briefings /images/reviews/fs2cqots/t/FS2Crew-PMDG-747-QOTS-08.jpgThe Departure and Approach briefings are setup using assignments toeach area of the briefing as seen in the image above. The FirstOfficer will then use the aircraft layout features detailed here toconfigure the aircraft for takeoff and landing. For example attakeoff, Packs are set to Off or On, Flaps may be 10 or 20, and ASDE-Xmay be required or not required. When you are finished setting yourbriefing, you play the briefing and the captain's will audibly performthe briefing the First Officer. /images/reviews/fs2cqots/t/FS2Crew-PMDG-747-QOTS-11.jpg The Preflight EventsThe preflight events are a sequence of crew specific duties thatoccur at standard times during a 60-minute countdown. During thisperiod, the First Officer performs his/her preflight duties in realtime. It is very interesting when you notice that she is actuallyswitching nobs on the overhead panel, setting the Icing Systemcontrols, turning off the Packs etc. The FO has fully control over allswitches of the overhead panel, and other panels that fall within herduties. /images/reviews/fs2cqots/t/FS2Crew-PMDG-747-QOTS-06.jpgAlso during the preflight events, passengers are boarded, you aregiven the fuel report, and also the loading sheet when all loading iscomplete. At the end of the Preflight, the aircraft doors are shut, the chocks are removed, and the SODE jetways are undocked. Flight Attendant InterfaceWondering how you speak to your flight crew? After calling the FA,you then select the command you desire and the captain and FA willhave an audible discourse. /images/reviews/fs2cqots/t/FS2Crew-PMDG-747-QOTS-10.jpgGround Crew Interface /images/reviews/fs2cqots/t/FS2Crew-PMDG-747-QOTS-05.jpgThe ground crew may be contacted using the interphone on the CenterPedestal. You must type 'P' and '1'. You will then hear a a phoneringing and the ground attendant will answer you. /images/reviews/fs2cqots/t/FS2Crew-PMDG-747-QOTS-03.jpgYou can then choose any of the above commands to speak to theofficer. Simmer Opinion of the FS2Crew: PMDG 747 QOTS IITo begin with, it is not right that any simmer should even attemptflying a Boeiong 747 single handedly, because in real life no oneflies a Boeing 747 single pilot. In my opinion, the SOPs are veryrealistic, and I definitely do feel like a Captain in Command of the747 every time I use this application. The interface is very wellpresented and easy to use. I believe that this is a must-have for anysimmer. FS2Crew: PMDG 747 QOTS II gets a full 5 out of 5-star rating. 19. /images/notams/notams21/fs2c0513.jpgWe're adding some voice commands to Pushback Express for MSFS tocontrol the ground service vehicles via voice. There are also somepretty good improvements coming to Pushback Express shortly so itmatches up with the upcoming Fly By Wire A32NX Project version. One cool thing is we figured out a way to increase the resolutionso the app looks 10 times more sharp and crisp now, so the UI isdrastically prettier. We also added night lighting and an opacity slider and there's someother nice stuff to make PBE more realistic, too. At any rate, if you're a native French speaker, can you pleasetranslate these to speech commands to French for us please. This way you can issue the commands in your language in PBE. We're supporting native English, French, German and Spanish (thoseare the speech languages supported speech recognition in Windows). En francais svp... 20. /images/notams/notams21/fs2c0510.jpgThis one will be short and sweet... FS2Crew for the FBW A32NX Project: I'm still not comfortable pressing the 'release' button justyet. One of the beta testers said, "Bryan, the FSLabs Airbus of FS2Crewversion does more stuff than this! I want more user options!" So naturally I had to add as many FSLabs options into the FBWversion as I possibly could, with the exception of the "Flying as thePilot Monitoring" stuff. (I'm waiting for Asobo to improve the AIcopilot logic before I go down that road.) Now we just need to test the new options. Release Candidate 5 will go out to the testing team shortly. Oncethey give the thumbs up I'll press the 'release' button. Apologies for the delay everyone. We want it to be as perfect and complete as possible on release dayas possible without bugs.,/p> As mentioned, even though it's "totally different" from any FS2Crewyou have ever seen before (even the Flight Crew A320 Button version)there will still be a discount for any previous FS2Crew owners.
