/images/notams/notams22/fact0708.jpgThe "Frankenstein" - the 767-400ER, a classical 90s airplane withavionics backported from the modern 777.We have added a totally newavionics set with new 3D and textures to the cockpit, a high resscreens, MFD and newer version of the FMS to this 767. New, morepowerful engines, longer fuselage and remade the landing gear fromscratch! Also added cosmetic changes to the exterior model. As we are getting very close to releasing this addition to our 767family, I would like to tell you about the poetically frankensteinianstructure of the 767 now. The 767 family has 2 separate upgrades(extended and FPDS (modern avionics)) which together yield the globalpack, consisting of all our 767 variants each with 2 avionicssweets. The 767-400ER, just like the other members of the family, will besold with the commitment of full xp12 support at no additionalcost. Moreover, the org store will offer a discount for our new 767customers on the 400ER for the period until xp12 is out. The 767-400ER, will be offered not only as a standalone package, but as an upgrade to any previously bought package. This will slightlyincrease the amount of combinations you need to wrap your mindaround. Not only that, those who start their 767 experience with the767-400ER will letter get the chance to upgrade it to the 300ER andthe 2 current upgrades (extended and FPDS). So, the 767-family from now on will have two base packages with the767-300ER and 767-400ER respectively, which can be upgraded into ajoined "pair", or to any combination of 3 possible upgrades. Also a complete package will all the airplanes, called "globalPLUS", will be available. The 767-400ER standalone package will be on sale at $69 for theperiod until XP12 is released. "The 400" upgrade will be available for $30 as an addition to anypreviously bought package of the 767-famaly. Source

/images/notams/notams21/ffa1005.jpgFixed: Now its possible to select alternate near then 40NM from destinationAutopilot became crazy on high altitudeTemporary flight plan output data fixesWe have reverted changes for direct mode - they caused the madnessof autopilot. Takeoff and landing still good - these changes left inbeta. And we will look for solution for direct mode - its deeperproblem here. The FFA320 is the ultimate A320 simulation for X-Plane. The modelhas its own flight model and a system depth never seen before on anyflight sim. The goal was to provide an experience as close to the realaircraft as possible. Source

/images/notams/notams20/ffac0915.jpgThe team at FlightFactor, is happy to announce the first in aseries of models of the next generation of FlightFactor Pro series:787 Pro. The Pro series will expand horizontally to give users moreexperiences in and around the flight. More details will be publishedsoon, but suffice it to say, the FF Boeing 787 will conquer newheights in complexity, usability and variety of features. We are alsotaking our 3D and texturing to the next level with ever more detail inand out of the cockpit. The 787 will be for X-Plane 11 (or current X-Plane version). Rest assured, our v2 plans for other models are simultaneously onthe way, we just don't want to reveal it all at once! flightfactor.aero Source

/images/notams/notams20/ffac0816a.jpgFlightFactor is very happy to state that most of the update planswe had of our current models are complete. The Boeing 757 and 767 arestable and full of features, the A350v1 has been updated to includeSID/STAR received new textures and many features and all our planes, including the A320 Ultimate are now Vulkan compatible. A320 is indeedstill in beta but we are almost done with the Vulkan/Metal step. While work on all current models will continue, and notwithstanding our plans for the v2s (you all know what I am talkingabout), it is the first time in 4 years when FlightFactor is notworking on an "upcoming" update of some sort. This means severalthings for us: It is time for a radical shift in technology, for a refactoring ofthe basic level at which we make models. We will not go into thetechnical details of parallel programming etc. now but that means, thatour next project will be of a new generation, totally new, usingtotally new methods and will have more new features than anything wehave made from the start. A change similar to the one we had in 2012when we announced that "ramzzess aviation design" is becomingFlightFactor and moving to make large, complicated airliners. Thiswill mean that our new projects will more immersive, closer to life, will have more in-depth features and will be more complex. We are working on a new PRO series model, yes...a new model meanssomething we have not done before. We have only started and it is waytoo early to share details. We are building it from scratch andcombining all the knowledge and technology we have accumulated overthe years. We are aiming, as usual, to beat the industry standard forin-depth simulation of an aircraft and to bring new ideas into thesim. We are looking ahead into the link of our next generation modelsand thinking of a way to make them closer to reality in terms of thepilot, not to the manuals, but to the pilot. The problem is, that mostof us, simmers and model designers, know the planes from manuals, videos and books, but not from the point of view of a realpilot. There are nuances and subtle points which only those who spenttime in the cockpit can know and tell. So how can we solve thatproblem, how can we get that intimate knowledge of the airliner thatonly a real pilot has? Well, there is an "easy" solution: one of uswill have to go and become a Boeing pilot! As you may know, ramzzesshas become a private pilot some time ago following in the footsteps ofFF co-founder Philipp Munzell (Ringler) and has been progressingtowards getting an airline transport pilot license. Hopefully the ATPLwill be complete in a few months and rating course will follow shortlyafter. flightfactor.aero FlightFactor Previews C-32 FlightFactor AVS Update Announced
