The A310 is a wide-bodyaircraft designed by Airbus Industrie (a group of European aerospacemanufacturers in the 1970's-1980's). The aircraft introduced atwo-crew glass cockpit and is truly a versatile aircraft perfect forshort-long haul operations (up to 10 hrs!). It existed in manyvariations and iterations; our aircraft on initial release will be theA310-304 powered by General Electric CF6-80 engines, passenger variantonly. Since the initial announcement we have re-modelled significantareas of the aircraft and completely re-textured the aircraft makingfull use of the powers of Microsoft Flight Simulator to provide afantastic visual experience alongside a focus on the details of theAirbus A310. /images/notams/notams22/inib0614/inibuilds-a310-1.jpgWe have ensured all rivets, panel lines, dirt placements and decalswere technically analysed and placed throughout the aircraft toprovide you with a truly immersive experience when flying this highlyadvanced aircraft from the 1980's. With all iniBuilds aircraft you can expect the complete package;visuals, systems and sounds. This aircraft will be no different. Weare super lucky to have access to a real-life flying aircraftthroughout the development process and have been able to acquireauthentic sound recordings from each area of the real aircraft. You can expect an excellent audible experience, dynamicallybalanced within a 3D environment, coupled with location dependentaudio, as well as the inclusion of audio based on a variety ofenvironmental conditions. /images/notams/notams22/inib0614/inibuilds-a310-2.jpgMoving onto systems: we have completely re-written our code basefor the Microsoft Flight Simulator version, enhancing and improvingour A310 systems in all areas from the previous iteration of thisproduct. Significant parts of aircraft have greater levels of dynamicbehaviour and reliance for example in our electrical system; each itemwithin the aircraft has an impact on the power drawn from thegenerators, even individual fuel pumps, which will cause realisticelectrical system demand changes. The FMS (flight management system) which is an essential componentfor the navigation of the aircraft, has been completely re-writtenfrom the ground up allowing for more realistic operations on day-dayflying, along with new features not previously seen on iniBuildsproducts. The FMS will allow for full lateral and vertical guidancemodes including RNAV approaches and overlay NDB VOR approaches. Wewill provide a comprehensive training guide on these, and how they canbe used. Please note this is not a modern Airbus so there are somequirks and they have been fully reflected in the aircraft to provide agreat deal of immersion, and these will all be explained in ourtraining series! In addition to these fantastic systems, we will also provide anewly designed, feature-rich EFB (electronic flight bag). This willallow you to manage weight and balance, interact with the awesomeground services in Microsoft Flight Simulator and much more! This product consists of many new and improved 3D elementsincluding a new wing and a full overhaul of the exterior textures! Wealso will be introducing enhanced wingflex and of course thelong-range capabilities the A310-300 is known for; additionally alsoutilizing the experimental flight model present in the most recentversion of X-Plane 11. This is just a brief list with an extensive, more detailedchangelog to come soon. I am also pleased to report that the basepackage will consist of both the freighter and passenger as we didwith the A300; with the freighter releasing first and the passengervariant coming soon after. I am also pleased to announce that we will be making two expansionsoff the base packages of both the A300 & A310 and a brand new familyof airliners.
