/images/notams/notams18/ever1202/ever1202.jpgAnother superb package from Frank Dainese and Fabio Bellini. Thisscenery for X-Plane 11 is dedicated to the highest mountain on theplanet: the Everest (8848 meters - 29,029 feet). /images/notams/notams18/ever1202/everest-1.jpgArea IncludedEverest Park 3D includes a territory of about 1000 squarekilometers in the Himalayas along with other eight thousand, on theborder between China and Nepal. Other famous mountains include theLhotse (8516), Makalu (8463), Nuptse (7861), Pumori (7161), Ama Dablam(6812), Taboche (6543), Baruntse (7129). /images/notams/notams18/ever1202/everest-2.jpgAirports IncludedThe Lukla airport (icao VNLK) is considered by the pilots, one ofthe most difficult especially in the landing phase, the track is justover 500 meters long. and has a significant change in slope in theinitial part during take-off (12%).Syangboche (icao VNSB) in clay ground, just over 400 meters long, secondary airport but officially coded. It is located just above thevillage of Namche Bazar, a mandatory stop for hikers to the Everestbase camp.7 Helipads: inserted in the most important points of the scenery, normally located in residential areas, scattered at various pointsalong the route to the base camp. /images/notams/notams18/ever1202/everest-3.jpgUltra-High Definition Scenery PackThe main mountains of the area have been rebuilt with 3D models. DEM data was used and further corrected with 3D graphics programs. Later the textures were applied, mostly in 4K, taken from high definition photos. The positioning on the modified mesh was very accurate, respecting the dimensions and the main morphological characteristics of the terrain.\Summer only sceneryManual includedPurchase Everest Park 3D

Thelatest images have a "men at work" theme, highlighting Lukla Airport'sramp and the activity going on there. /images/notams/notams18/ever1102/vnlk-7.jpg /images/notams/notams18/ever1102/vnlk-15.jpg /images/notams/notams18/ever1102/vnlk-22.jpgSource Everest Park 3D Previews Everest Everest Park 3D Previews Lukla

/images/notams/notams18/ever1008/everest1.jpgHis Majesty the EVEREST! Here at last is the protagonist of the scenario: Everest at8848 m (29,029 ft) is the roof of our planet! I used 4K texturesmade from photos in HD resolution, especially for the two mostpopular slopes (alpine): South South-West (Nepalese) and NorthNorthwest (Chinese / Tibetan). /images/notams/notams18/ever1008/everest2.jpgThe 3D model positioned on mesh, with great skill by Fabio, hasexactly the altitude of 8848 m. For all other 3D models it has beenrespected their altitude. /images/notams/notams18/ever1008/everest3.jpgHere are the first official screen shots of Everest that represent thetrue goal of the scenery. It was chosen the pre-monsoon period, sobefore the heavy rains / snows, where the same Everest in certainpicture is almost no snow. The reason is related to the strong windsat high altitudes sweep away the "grains of ice / snow" by showing therocks below. Famous the large yellow band just below the summitpyramid, very well visible even from great distances, a feature sharedwith other mountains but that for the Everest is a "sign" ofrecognition. /images/notams/notams18/ever1008/everest4.jpgSource Everest Park 3D Previews Lukla

Everest Park 3D Coming From Frank Dainese and Fabio Bellini
Nels_Anderson posted an article in X-Plane
/images/notams/notams18/ever0829/everest-1.jpgIt's always been our goal and finally we are planning and workingwith Fabio on Project Everest Park 3D for X-Plane 11. A difficult and challenging task especially because of thecomplexity of the terrain and for large Himalayan mountains for thehousing areas, not to mention the two airports, Sangboche and Lukla, among the most dangerous in the world. /images/notams/notams18/ever0829/everest-2.jpgFor several weeks I'm working. The 3D models of the mountains areeight: Everest, Lhotze, Nuptze, Makalu, Baruntze, Pumori, Amadablan,Tengboche with a total area of over 1000 sq km. There will be no orthophotos, but the reconstruction of the typicalterrain of the area with polygons / textures specially prepared. All abiatative areas: Lukla, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche arereconstructed with the typical houses of the place, verycharacteristic and colored with metal roofs. /images/notams/notams18/ever0829/everest-3.jpgTwo airports: VNLK and VNSB (Lukla and Sangboche) both slope withshort runways (VNSB clay). Some pitches helicopter in the mostinteresting areas of the scenario. The most complicated part is undoubtedly the reconstruction of themesh and positioning of 3D models. Fabio is already working and thetask does not seem at all simple. In anticipation here are some pictures that make the idea of thework and also the quality that we would like to give to theproject. All 3D models are now positioned so provisional, everythingwill depend on the processing of the mesh. /images/notams/notams18/ever0829/everest-4.jpgWe begin with the Everest Group, Nuptze, Lhotze, south side,South-West and North (Chinese): More photos of the areas inhabitedwith characteristic buildings, Tengboche with the temple and the Luklaairport. (I used a new technique for textures of buildings). Weexpect, however, still a lot of work, especially the part dedicatedto mesh and positioning of 3D models. Source
