As you all know, VirtualUA, and AAVirtualmerged and became AAV Group. After extensive discussion, a mutualdecision, in the best interest of both organizations, has beendecided. We are formally announcing that we are unmerging fromAAVirtual, and both AAVirtual and VirtualUA will be going theirseparate ways and resuming their independent operations. We are nowofficially returning to our old name Virtual United Social ClubIncorporated, and returning to our former domain of virtualua.org. At the same time, we get back onour feet. On more exciting news, VirtualUA celebrated its 8th birthday onMarch 24th! It feels hard to believe we have been in the community foreight years. /images/notams/notams18/vusc0724.jpgAugust was a great month for Virtual United Social Club, Inc(virtualua.org). Our pilots flew an amazing 3,335 hours, during 980flights! That averages out to 3.4 hours per flight or the equivalentof 1,055 trips from KBOS to KMCO. There were 50 new Pilots broughtonboard, as well as several new Staff members recruited. First and foremost we at Virtual UnitedSocial Club, Inc. (VirtualUA) were able to renew our legal agreementwith United Airlines, Inc. ("United"). This was a great step in ourlong-term plan, and although this agreement is not United'sendorsement of or affiliation with VirtualUA, the agreement does allowVirtualUA to operate freely and without fear of infringing on United'sintellectual property or brand. Immediately after that Virtual UnitedSocial Club, Inc. has renewed its non-profit status in the state ofTexas, further solidifying the organization's standing in the flightsimulation community, and strengthening the ties with our partnersthroughout the flight simulation arena. During August VirtualUA also launched its new monthly screen shotcompetition. The winner for August, Roman Osinchuk will be receivinga $10.00 Gift Certificate from FSPilotShop. Congrats to all whoentered as there were some truly amazing shots submitted. Any of ourmembers who are interested in participating in the competition forSeptember are encouraged to visit our Crew Communications System forthe full rules and details. Speaking of September, let's look ahead and see what this monthbrings us! With this month now being in full swing, we have launchedanother new monthly competition, Hub Wars. This competition will pithub against hub to see which one can pull off the most flight hoursthis month. For the full details, members should visit our CrewCommunications System. In addition to that, this months Destination ofthe Month is Atlanta! All members are encouraged to familiarizethemselves with Atlanta and enjoy the ride into one of the busiestairports in the world! Before closing this update, I want you all to make your calendarswith a couple dates.
