/images/notams/notams22/heav0112/aeroplane-heaven-lancaster-1.jpgFirst pics of our new and upcoming Avro Lancaster B mk1 forMSFS. This is the front turret and will hopefully give you an idea ofsome of the detail going into the model. Of interest may be the pic ofthe Browning shell-loading system. This is really just a wire with ahook on one end and a ring on the other. The gunner would thread thehooked end of the wire through the breech in the gun and out the otherside to pick up the clip of the first shell in a new load. Then bypulling on the wire he could feed the belted shells into thebreech. Maybe primitive, but it worked and allowed the gunner orground crew to quickly reload another 500 rounds in each gun. /images/notams/notams22/heav0112/aeroplane-heaven-lancaster-2.jpg /images/notams/notams22/heav0112/aeroplane-heaven-lancaster-3.jpg /images/notams/notams22/heav0112/aeroplane-heaven-lancaster-4.jpg /images/notams/notams22/heav0112/aeroplane-heaven-lancaster-5.jpgSource The Real Lancaster In Action
