Hi, in the past I was involved in the development of hard- and software for ITRA. Some of the products were the NAVSTACK and the TFT-Panel. Since the dissolution of the company, I have only been involved in flight simulation on the side. When I started to deal with the Arduino system, I had the idea to build a small frequency panel. Because of the driver signing requirements, I decided against USB to make it a network device. Controller, LCD panel and network adapter are inexpensive to get on the Internet. In addition 3 buttons and a rotary encoder, these are the main components for the panel. Everything comes together on a printed circuit board. Regarding the interface to the flight simulators, I was able to build on the experience I gained with the ITRA devices. For X-Plane these are plugins, for FSX/P3D the SimConnect client. The panel is the operating frontend for them. The panel sends the input to the client software, where it is converted into commands. Display values are returned. The six panels (COM1/2, NAV1/2, ADF and XPNDR) are 5cm x 8cm and differ only in the Arduino firmware. Adjustments to the Arduino code may need to change to the address of the LCD panel because it was different in the supplied parts. It is one source with #defines for the function. I had already finished the panel for some time, but an English function description has only now been finished. The functions and also the hardware are described on my Wiki page. The hardware is not a finished product. If anyone is interested in building the panel, I provide the source code of the Arduino program and the plugins or SimConnect client. The COM1 client works without restrictions, the other run for about 10 minutes as a demo and must be unlocked with a personalized license code, which I provide for small price. A Multifunktion Panel is also possible. Regards Michael

So I re-installed FSX Deluxe. I have three versions here in the C:\Windows\WinSxS folder: x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_none_dd92b94d8a196297 x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61242.0_none_e079b46b85043c20 x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61259.0_none_55f5ecdc14f60568 I am not seeing the Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll installed anywhere on my computer. Do I need to run the setup from C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib folder? I thought this was for client computers only. Where does the SimConnect setup install the FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll i? In the FSX main folder or C:\Windows\WinSxS folder? I thought it installed a SimConnect.DLL in the current FSX main folder. A little confused, here. Then the next step is to get SP1 and SP2 installed in that order. There are posts out there that go in to detail on how to do this. I assume this will update SimConnect to the latest version. Thanks for any help!

I would like a way to receive goal data automatically after a scenario ends. I can see in the SDK samples there are two with features I need. First is the C++ MissionAction project which runs and connects to P3D and waits for a "Windows" event (scenario resolution) to be received before displaying result 0 = failed, 1 = crashed, or 2 = complete... from my understanding. But doesn't pass goal data. Second is the C# Managed Mission Objects project which runs and opens a GUI to let you button connect to P3D and button request goal data. I would either need to add a way to receive goal data after the "Windows" event (scenario resolution) in MissionAction or have Managed Mission Objects wait for the "Windows" event. Any assistance with this?

Hi, I recently tried to get a remote hosting working for an fsx server and in the process have ruined my Simconnect. I have tried everything for fsxSE and have reinstalled multiple times, downloaded simconnect again and run the MSIs and have run the MSIs in my appdate folder. I have reinstalled the FSX in appdata from a friends pc that works and have tried everything I can think of. I have get brand new EXE.xml and DLL.xml and have changed manualload to false as well. Nothing works. This is stopping me from flying my 737 (as its gauges need simconnect), using navmaps or using chaseplane. Any help will do, no other forums were helping. Snoot

Hello guys. I took a look at the SDk installed in "C:\MSFS SDK". In particular "C:\MSFS SDK\SimConnect SDK" and "C:\MSFS SDK\Samples\SimvarWatcher". I don't know if there is something "already done", but I don't think (am I wrong or SimConnect already exist for FSX?), so I was wondering if anyone thinks to starting to put their hand on the code and with intention of working on Github ...

/images/notams/notams20/fsui0818.jpgFSUIPC7 is being released as a beta-version. It is currently notpossible to purchase a license, but a time-limited license, validuntil the end of October 2020, is included in the download. We hope tohave a release version ready by then, if not I will extend the betalicense. We are initially releasing FSUIPC for MSFS as a beta due to thestate of the MSFS SDK, and in particular that of the SimConnectAPI. There is still a lack of documentation on what is actuallyworking in this SDK, especially in relation to key events/control,upon which FSUIPC heavily relies. There are several SimConnect updates planned in the monthsfollowing the official MSFS release. We will continue to update andtest FSUIPC7 as these updates are released. A beta version of FSUIPC7 (for MSFS only) is now available fordownload at the following locations: Server 1 Server 2 Source FlightSim.Com Interviews Peter Dowson FSUIPC Official Web Site

Why can't I get FS Recorder to run. I have followed all of the detailed installation instructions to the letter. When I start up FSX-SE it gives me the incompatible message and I click OK. Then I get this message: "A problem occurred during SimConnect initialization of the FS recorder Module!. The recorder will not be available." I am using the correct version for Steam, I have all 4 of the SimConnects installed. My AI Carriers and FSUIPC get loaded into the addon folder without a problem but FS Recorder will not load up. I don't know what else to do.
