Hello! I am pleased to introduce the Virtual Royal Canadian Air Force (vRCAF) to the general flight simulator community! The vRCAF is a new military operator based on the day-to-day functions of the Canadian Air Force. We pride ourselves in upholding a thorough and realistic version of RCAF operations. This organization is staffed by longtime virtual special operations members and aims to push the niche world of military flying forward. Training is a critical part of our organization and is one of the requirements set by VATSIM to apply for/maintain special operations status. Our pilots are initially separated into tracks based on their chosen primary airframe. This track dictates how their training will flow. This initial training is rigorous, but should only take around 10 hours, no matter the airframe. This initial training will prepare you for the tasks assigned during operations and is greatly rewarding. Once initial training is completed, pilots begin their time as active duty, mission-ready officers in the vRCAF. Pilots can expect to fly around Canada for events and exercises, but also around the globe as our partners, and our scope is truly worldwide. For pilots who have been around the special operations community, this rundown likely sounds familiar to other operations around the virtual world. Our goal with the vRCAF is to push this interest forward. Our primary mission is to build a community. Military aviation does not happen alone in the real world, nor should it in the virtual world. The vRCAF will be organizing regular internal training/operation days where all available can fly together, utilizing their specific airframe to work towards a common goal. Hornet pilots will be utilizing Polaris and Hercules tankers for fuel, while transport pilots may be moving equipment, troops or other personnel to the site. I built a few aircraft and scenery way back when for FS98 - the KC-135T in particular. Having been out of the loop for so long but now getting back into the new MSFS, I'd like to know if there is a way to build aircraft for MSFS (2020)? I work with Blender and have been looking at scenery development as well. I was in the USAF as a crew chief on KC-135 aircraft and I'm actually working on the KC-135R and T model again but for the new MSFS. Attached are a few images from my development from last year. I'm wondering if anyone would know a good workflow or at least point me in the direction for getting flight models in there? I know there are professional developers that are working fast and furious but for older and more casual designers like myself, it would be a good thread to start if not started already. It is our pleasure to announce the opening of the virtual United States Intelligence Aviation.We are a group of flight simulator enthusiasts simulating the operations of the Central Intelligence Agency’s Air Branch. The vUSIA has been in development since 2019, and active in its current form since the fall of 2021. Established by a group of dedicated and experienced virtual military pilots and former/current international relations/conflict students, the vUSIA aims to provide a realistic, engaging and exciting experience for virtual pilots of all skill levels. We operate a fleet of aircraft based on known CIA linked dummy corporations and their operations. In turn, we operate our aircraft through a series of fictional dummy corporations (and one real-world US Air Force Unit). These corporations act in a similar way to a unit or squadron at other virtual military organizations, with a lead pilot supervising the training and participation of their fellow pilots. Details on each corporation can be found on the “hubs” page on the website, or in the vUSIA Discord server. As with any virtual military or paramilitary organization operating on the VATSIM network, we make use of a regimented training program. This ensures our pilots are prepared to conduct operations on the network respectfully and professionally. Details on the expected training for every pilot can be found on the “school” page on the website. By joining the ranks here at the vUSIA, you are entering an organization unlike any other in the flight simulation community. You will be operating clandestine missions unbeknownst to others, and participating in operations that will take you around the world. There are also always places for those who want to be engaged in the administration level, acting as a supervisor or mission planner.
