/images/notams/notams21/dino0914/dino-1.jpgAs we have not provided updates on our other projects in a while, here is a quick summary of where we are: T-45C GoshawkWe have decided to invest some time to learn how to make a decentHUD in HTML5+JavaScript (as opposed to the legacy XML code). The mainreason for this is better readability with different graphic settingsand portability to XBox - also, it is a technology that will be usefulfor the F-35 and M-346. We have also implemented Sim Update V cockpit interaction model andwe will have flight model and avionics improvements. We HOPE torelease this shortly, but as usual no shortcuts: it is done when it isdone. /images/notams/notams21/dino0914/dino-2.jpg /images/notams/notams21/dino0914/dino-3.jpg /images/notams/notams21/dino0914/dino-4.jpgAermacchi M-346We are remaking a few 3D parts as we thought they were not goodenough by our current standards. Apart from that, external textureshave been remastered to 8K and cockpit rebuild/retexturing iscomplete. We will also redo the HUD with HTML5/Javascript. Bestestimate for a beta is end of October. Sukhoi SU-31This project is moving forward...but not as quickly as wewant. Most of the modeling/avionics/cockpit interaction bugs have beensolved, Sim Update V cockpit model has been implemented and flightmodel has been refined...but it is not yet satisfactory. We do not have a release date for it at the moment. Also, we have been receiving a lot of messages about our futureprojects: at the moment we have nothing to announce BUT of course weare considering remaking our older planes (if we made them it isbecause we love them), but our focus is to try our best to deliverquality projects and this will be the driving factor of our futurechoices. Screenshot of the T-45C Goshawk NAVY Jet Trainer over New Mexico in a Thunderstorm. I flew all over Southern NM for 45 minutes and took 28 screenshots. This one was the best of the bunch. Hope you enjoy it. The T-34C Goshawk by INDIAFOXTECHO is well worth the cost and performs very predictably. Remember, it is a Jet "Trainer", and not a 1 to 1 Powered Fighter.. I found it to be a Great Add-On to MSFS.

/images/notams/notams21/dino0319/t45c-1.jpgFor information, we have decided to delay the release of the T-45Cversion 1.10 to the next weekend, in order to properly test some ofthe fixes. The update is primarily aimed at fixing the top issues ofthe initial release... after those are fixed, we will introduceadditional features. So far we have: Redone external engine soundsFixed bug preventing setting the CRS on TACAN (Nav2)Created "Lite" versions of all aircraft, with simplified XML code and geometryImplemented VR mouse collision modelFixed environmental occlusion geometryFixed missing details in rear cockpit harnessingFixed bug causing cockpit sounds from other T-45 to play in multiplayerFixed formation light switch INOPFixed bug causing the HUD throttle indicator not to workFixed external lights not working after Sim Update 3 /images/notams/notams21/dino0319/t45c-2.jpgIn order to improve the performance (although some of the issuesseem due to Sim Update III) we have created a "Lite" versions of theT-45, which will be selectable as liveries. The Lite version will have: New VC model, with front cockpit only. The 3D model size will is approximately 70% of the full version, and will use fewer texture sheets.Minimized HUD XML code: full functionality but color will not be selectable. The Lite HUD code is 25% of the full HUD code.A Minimized MFD XML code: left display will be fixed to ADI and right display will be fixed to HSI. These pages will be fully functional, but cannot be changed. The Lite MFDs are roughly 27% of the full MFD code lenght.Hopefully this will help. To achieve this, we had to postpone the release of the paint kit -which we hope it will be released next Monday along with the aircraftupdate. Source

/images/notams/notams21/dino0301.jpgSo...it is February 28th, where is the T-45C Goshawk? Well, we believe the current build is good enough for release, butwe are polishing it even more and adding a couple of features thatwere not intended for the initial release originally. Also, we areworking on a very detailed manual - we think you will need it as thesimulation is quite detailed. We do not like calling any of our flight simulation products "studylevel" - we believe that a true "study level" product should be almost100% accurate and, more importantly, does not instigate or promote anincorrect operation of the real world aircraft... and the T-45 isdefinitely not a "study level" product in that sense. However we feelthat it is a quite detailed rendition of the aircraft and we hope itwill be good enough for most users. The biggest shortcomings, in our opinion are the following: HUD is not collimated and has problems with TAASome functionalities of the HSI page are not completely implemented (for one, the PLAN mode only shows the next waypoint as opposed to the full flight plan planimetric view)The aircraft does not bleed energy as much as it should during tight turns (although this is a more general problem of MSFS)Some BIT test sequences are incorrect or missingDEP can only be used to set CRS, HDG, LAW and BINGO.These are by no means the only shortcomings of this product, but weare confident that pretty much everything else is negligible. Pricewill be $29.99 USD - tentative release date: March 8th (fingerscrossed). Source IndiaFoxtEcho Reports Beta 1 Build of T-45C Complete

/images/notams/notams21/dino0215/t45c-1.jpgWe have finally completed the BETA 1 build of the T-45C Goshawkproject for Microsoft Flight Simulator, in cooperation with MilitaryVisualizations. We will distribute the Beta version to selectedtesters during the next few days. Apologies in advance to those whoapplied for the Beta testing but will not be selected: we havereceived a lot of applications but for a number of reasons the testwill be limited to 25 users. If things go as planned, we should be able to release it aroundMarch 1st. /images/notams/notams21/dino0215/t45c-2.jpg /images/notams/notams21/dino0215/t45c-3.jpgSource Additional Preview Images Of IndiaFoxtEcho T-45 Goshawk

/images/notams/notams21/dino0107/t45c-2.jpgIt seems that a clear majority of you prefer the color MFDs overthe old monochrome green ones...so here you go. /images/notams/notams21/dino0107/t45c-1.jpgWe have received full documentation for the color MFD graphics, andwe are upgrading the T-45C accordingly. By and large the graphics arevery similar to the monochrome versions - color is only used in theADI page and to identify VOR and TACAN symbology - there are fewdifferences in functionality, but they are very minor. Due to MSFS restrictions, some limitations to the avionics willstill apply - but we will still try our best to keep them as close aspossible to the real aircraft. /images/notams/notams21/dino0107/t45c-3.jpgSource IndiaFoxtEcho Report on T-45C For MSFS IndiaFoxtEcho Long-EZ For MSFS v1.13 Released

/images/notams/notams20/dino1228/t45c-1.jpgThe T-45C is moving forward and the front cockpit has received anumber of small improvements and details... we are, however, a littleundecided on the MFD graphics: at the moment it is reusing the oldMFDs from the FSX version, but we'll soon start reworkingthem... thing is, should we move to the color version* or keep themonochrome green ones? /images/notams/notams20/dino1228/t45c-2.jpgWhat you you guys prefer? Keep in mind that there is much moredocumentation on the older ones... * For those who did not know, in the past years most (if not all)of the T-45C have been upgraded and now sport color MFD displays(albeit the graphics are by and large black and white). /images/notams/notams20/dino1228/t45c-3.jpgSource IndiaFoxtEcho Update on Long-EZ Problem For MSFS IndiaFoxtEcho T-45C Flight Model Progress

/images/notams/notams20/t45c1218.jpgT-45C Preliminary Flight Model Test: We will soon have a build ofthe T-45 which will be good enough for an initial assessment of theflight model. This build will not have complete avionics, nor willallow the user to follow the checklist - but it is purely intended forflight model testing. If you have real-world stick time with the Goshawk, have some hoursto spare during the holidays and are willing to help with the testplease contact us by email atindiafoxtecho@gmail.com- please include a short recap of your experience with this aircrafttype. Note - this is not a beta test - it is just a preliminary flightmodel test and access will be tightly restricted. A proper beta testwill be held later on. Source

/images/notams/notams20/dino1208/goshawk-1.jpgWe believe it is paramount to be completely honest to ourcustomers, as it is far better, in our opinion, to have fewersatisfied customer than having a lot of disappointed ones... so, aspromised, here is a list of shortcomings and things we think we willnot be able to do in the T-45C for MSFS. /images/notams/notams20/dino1208/goshawk-2.jpgCarrier functionality: at the moment there are no carriers in thegame, and while the carrier-related aircraft functionalities are therein the SDK, they do not seem to work.HUD rendition: frankly the current method we are employing is notthat good: it is not collimated or occluded. Basically it is just asemitransparent texture applied to the HUD glass. It still serves thepurpose of presenting "heads up" data, but it is frankly disappointing- especially in VR. Moreover, the HUD seems to have issues with TAA(tends to become blurry) - but works fine with other AA methods.MFD HSI Plan/Mapping: the old fs9gps mapping service is notworking anymore, and alternate methods are not documented. So, the HSIpage of the MFD will be basically a digital version of a traditionalHSI (meaning it will not show graphical information about the flightplan, VORs/NDBs and airports). It will still be possible to navigateby following pointers and stuff like that, but the HSI mode will besomewhat limited. /images/notams/notams20/dino1208/goshawk-3.jpgWe still believe it will be a decent rendition of this aircraft, aswe think that the graphics are pretty good, the flight model will besatisfactory and you will still be able to follow 99% of the realworld checklist. And then, cloud surfing is still lots of fun. In terms of schedule, we are working hard to have a test versionready before 2020 ends...but, as usual, it is done when it isdone. /images/notams/notams20/dino1130/goshawk-1.jpgAs many of you have guessed, our next project for Microsoft FlightSimulator is the T-45C Goshawk. We have recently reached an agreement with Military Visualizationsto cooperate and bring this jet trainer into MSFS and (potentially) toother platforms. The project is very promising, although, at the moment, thesimulator imposes several limitations to this kind of aircraft, letalone the fact that carrier operations are not supported. /images/notams/notams20/dino1130/goshawk-2.jpgStill we hope we will be able to create a reasonably realistic andfun rendition of this naval jet trainer. As usual "it is done when it is done"...although we think it shouldnot take more than a couple of months to complete it. Source View current IndiaFoxtEcho aircraft for MSFS 2020
