Any mods out there that allow use of Logitech Freedom 2.4 with MSFS 2020? Thanks!
-
Hello, I recently watched a pilot webinar recommending the use of MSFS 2020 to practice flying and instrument procedures when you can't get into your plane. I am most interested in learning to fly the Bonanza and hoping add-ons of the 33 and 35 would offer realistic instrumentation and flight characteristics. Are these reasonable expectations of MSFS? I am not a gamer so after talking with all my gamer kids and nephews I find none of them do flight sims I found this site that I am hoping helps me make good decisions. The first question is if my office computer can handle the 2020 MSFS. From the min specs I think I am good but not sure about the video card. It is not a gaming computer but it is fairly new: ThinkStation P330 - Tiny Part Number: 30CECTO1WW • Processor : 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8700T 6 core processor (2.40GHz, up to 4.00GHz with Turbo Boost, 12MB Cache) • Operating System : Windows 10 Pro 64 • Operating System Language : Windows 10 Pro 64 English • Form Factor : Tiny Q370 • Memory : 32GB (16GB + 16GB) DDR4 2666MHz • Video Adapter : NVIDIA Quadro P620 2GB 4 x Mini DP • M.2 Storage Card : 512GB Solid State Drive, PCIe-NVME, M.2, Opal • Networking : Integrated Ethernet • WiFi Wireless LAN Adapters : Intel 8265 with vPro 802.11 (2 x 2) & Bluetooth 4.2 • Speakers : Premium Internal Speaker Tiny • Vertical Stand : Vertical Stand Tiny • Tool-less for Open Chassis : Tool-less for Open Chassis • Publications Pack : Publication-English Reading other streams here and talking to my family gamers it seems I should buy the program on Microsoft instead of steam since I'm not a gamer but would I still be able to buy add-ons for specific airplanes if I don't use steam? Since this would be my one and only game purchase the software price difference is not my primary consideration... instead I'm wondering if the deluxe and premium versions would be much larger and bog down my computer. This here is probably the ultimate stupid newb question but I really want to know if there is any truth to this or should I just get the deluxe for benefits I am not aware of or upgrades I might not know I eventually will want??? I was told the Logitech G (Saitek) Flight Simulator Yoke and Rudder Pedals would be a good setup for what I was wanting to accomplish. Sporty's has these as a package and it seems like it would give me a lot of realism with a yoke, power quadrant and rudder pedals with braking. I'm sure more advanced flight simmers might have good tips for me since I am just in the shopping stage and very open to suggestions. Thanks for reading! I appreciate any tips you think will help me set up my sim.

I have a cheap logitech gamepad that I like. I have the steam version. When I set the aileron control to the x axis, is gives a notice in red letters advising not to assign it to this axis. But I only have two axis, so I have to use it. It shows it's working good in control setup, but when I fly I have no aileron control. I saw a YouTube video saying it might be a steam problem, and I messed with steam settings, but it didn't help. Anybody have any ideas? It's kind of hard to turn without ailerons.

I'm going to buy a Yoke, and for budget considerations it will be either a CH Products Flight Yoke (with a mini throttle quadrant built into the body) or a Logitech/Saitek with a separate full sized throttle quadrant. My question is - how important is it to have a separate throttle quadrant? Is the mini throttle quadrant on the CH's body going to be completely insufficient, or will it do the job well enough for a few months. Background: I'm getting back into simming, but don't know if I'll keep up with it (responsibilities and life). If I do keep up with simming, I will upgrade to a Honeycomb Yoke + Bravo Quadrant next year. If I do not/can not keep simming regularly, then at least I'll have the CH or the Logitech. I have FSX:SE right now, and will get FS2020 when it comes out. The CH has two benefits to me - its cheaper by $50, and its easier to set up and tear down because its an all-in-one design vs. the Logitech/Saitek with its a two part design. But I'll take the Logitech if the separate throttle quadrant is important. I will be flying GA. I see people flying with one hand on the yoke and one hand on the throttle - is that a preference, or is that more of a necessity? So should I go for the set with the separate throttle quadrant or go for smaller and cheaper (and more convenient)?

Logitech Pro Flight Throttles Assignments Issue
c.r36156636 posted a topic in FSX General Discussion
Hi all, I have been using the Logitech Pro Flight Throttle for many years and have recently purchased another. I have set it up in FSX (I don't know how to do it in the Logitech Application) to the correct controls ect. Make a flight then close FSX. When I reopen FSX the next time the controls have either reset to the defualts or swapped between the Quadrants. Can anyone help with this ? Many thanks guys ! -
Hello there everyone, I have recently bought a Logeitech Flight instrument Panel. I have installed the Plug In from Logitech website for the windows 10 FSX 64 bit version. It starts fine and shows up but once I start taking off all the data are gone, the Panel still shows the different displays but it doesn`t indicate any information ( airspeed altitude etc) nothing shows up but the displays are still there and I could switch to different displays but yeah nothing works. I was wondering if anyone would know how to fix this problem as I have looked everywhere and couldnt find a solution :steamfacepalm: It is very important to me this works as I am doing flight training and started doing circuits, and hence bought the panel so that I could see the data and all. Hope you guys could help me out. Much appreiated thank you so much guys !! :)

Hi all, I had a (hopefully) quick question I was hoping someone could help me with. I'm trying to make the switch from FSX to XPlane 11. I currently have a range of Saitek equipment that all look to be working fine after I installed the XPlane plugin from the Saitek/Logitech support site. The only issue I'm running into currently, is that when I try to set Autopilot to maintain a certain altitude the "AP" and "ALT" buttons begin flashing and the altitude does not appear to be maintained. I also tried testing the AP follow the "heading bug" with no luck either. I have been testing in the default X Plane 11 Cessna with the G1000. Has anyone run into this issue before? Really appreciate any help and guidance, thanks!
