/images/notams/notams20/imag0213/barbados-1.jpgTBPB Barbados delay. We all hate delays. You, us, everyone. And we apologize for thedelay with releasing this product. As you might be aware, the projectwas originally created for an aerospace client that, just beforeChristmas, graciously allowed us to recompile and release the modelfor Prepar3D v4. /images/notams/notams20/imag0213/barbados-2.jpgCurrently, we're waiting to receive official paperworkfrom the original client that allows us to get the P3D productreleased. An unavoidable process that is taking longer than we allexpected. We have been assured that the documents are making theirstately progress towards us, and we are all set and ready to releaseTBPB at very short notice. Thank you for your patience. Source

/images/notams/notams19/imag1111.jpgA surprise announcement - A significant part of our business isproducing airports for aerospace, commercial companies andacademia. When finished the client usually retains exclusive rights tothe project and that's the last we see of it. On this occasion we have secured permission to reconfigure our TBPBBarbados project, originally an aerospace contract, and release it forPrepar3D v4. The process to package the airport will take a few weeksbut we are hopeful that we can get it wrapped and ready forChristmas. A discussion with the client about X-Plane and MSFS2020 versionswill take place in January. Work on our main KDFW Dallas/Fort Worthproject remains unaffected. Source

/images/notams/notams19/imag1017.jpgYou might have noticed the distinct lack of any news about our KLAXLos Angeles project announced earlier this year, so we thought we'dbring you up to date with what's going on. Shortly after we started LAX Microsoft announced their FS2020product to the world and took us all by stunning surprise. Alongsidethe announcement came a promo containing an amazing video, including ashort section of a high-fidelity and very detailed Los Angelesairport. We have tried in the period since to get confirmation of the KLAXmodel and if it is to be included with FS2020 but haven't been able toget any firm news. Last week we took the depressing decision to haltwork on our LAX and postpone the project. An airport the size andcomplexity of Los Angeles takes a team of several designersapproximately eighteen months and over $100,000 to produce. Given thata high quality KLAX might be shipped by default with the new Microsoftsim, and the possibility of a shrinking Prepar3D market post FS2020,we cannot financially commit twelve more months to the project againstthe current background of uncertainty. We know this will come as a disappointment to a lot of you but westress that the project is only postponed, not cancelled. The workwe've produced up until last week is archived and ready to be revivedat a moment's notice. In the meantime Cal and Felipe have switched their attention to asensational alternative project - a huge, and we really mean huge, USairport mega-hub with worldwide appeal for P3D/FS2020. We are anxiousnot to get anyone's hopes too high again so official news will bedelayed a while longer. At this time the intention is to see this newairport through to a finish, then to resume KLAX if FS2020/P3Dsustains it. We will announce the new US airport when we reach what wecall the CP (Commit Point). The point when we become commerciallybound to its completion, usually around a third way into aproject. These are exciting times for us all. It's unusual for us to givesuch long and technical explanations about our processes but we needto plan our strategy very carefully during this period of simmingtransition. More news on this the moment we get it. Source

/images/notams/notams18/imag0814.jpgToday Imaginesim announced that after many requests from usersthey will be including the city of Singapore as part of their upcomingWSSS Singapore scenery for Prepar3D v4. "We've had so many requests to include the city with our newWSSS Singapore we've just had to do it. Since it was not part of ouroriginal plans we will have to make extensive use of Google Earth togather information, but we're sure it's going to look great. If itdoesn't make it in time for the release, we will issue it as anupgrade for free." Source
