/images/notams/notams20/airw0821.jpgScenery developer Airworthy Designs have issued a statement onFacebook regarding their Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020development: After finally getting a good understanding of the SDK we would liketo announce the following ongoing projects for the new Microsoftplatform. St Martin and Grand Case:These sceneries are based off the popular Princess of the Caribbeanpackages from Xplane but every single asset is being revised andupdated. This is due how VRAM is much more at a premium in this sim soall the effort now is to make it as streamlined as possible (the aimis to maintain the same performance as the base package). The new developer SDK comes with great tools for tracking systembandwidth and we are excited to make the most of it. Future Projects:Soon after these sceneries are finished the focus will shift toSouth America as we will produce a range of products that will be usedfor real world training. Stay tuned for more updates. Source

/images/notams/notams19/awd1119.jpgDue to MSFS being announced recently we will be moving productionentirely to this new platform. The new simulator from Microsoft seemsto be the next big thing and starting a year long development cycle forX-Plane it just does not make sense... That being said with what Microsoft has shown us it doesn't seemthat there will be room for 3rd party scenery products, of course wewill take a look at the state of things and make an assessment on whatprojects to pursue. If scenery development seems like a bad idea we will start atransition to high quality aircraft development. Thankfully we have been given access to the Beta program (phase 1)so we will be taking a deep look at how things work inside this newsimulator and what kind of technology is required to develop for it. If it turns out there is a chance to develop sceneries we willbring all our products developed from the ground up, new and improvedto match the standard set up by MS. More news about this once the betadrops. As of today all our X-Plane producs will receive a permanent 60%discount, we thank you for your continued support. Source
