Around the World Leg 60

Recommended Posts

Christchurch International (NZCH) Christchurch, New Zealand to McMurdo Station (NZPG) McMurdo, Antarctica. This destination was out of the Honda's range. The Air Force was nice enough to let me hitch a ride since they were headed south. The only problem, ATC in FSX only took us to about 30 miles out from the airport, cancelled the IFR flight plan and we had to make it on our own VFR to the strip

I was taxiing to the portable control tower when the plane "went through the ice" supposedly! I had no idea where I was then. So, this is the result.

Nice shots David!! And yes, as sweet as the HondaJet is, range can be an issue in some parts of the world. I have yet to see any evidence they're going to modify it with a refueling probe. :p

Michael

Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.

No in air refueling! That would be cool. I wonder who would provide the refueling aircraft? Marathon perhaps?
