Just go to the link Mojo2000 provided and you will find one of the most amazing aircraft models out there.

As a retired USAF Master Sergeant, first Crew Chief of "Special Delivery", B-1B Ship #96, 86-0136 and a B-1 Maintenance Supervisor for 5 years I can tell you that the I3D Bone is VERY well done indeed. I was very surprised to see how well they modelled the gear retraction sequence especially. I don't think you will be dissappointed, especially considering the price...FREE!

BTW, if you have any B-1 questions, e-mail me at

    [email protected]

and I will be glad to try to answer them for you.

    Very impressive.

Can you tell me why the Lancer was nicknamed 'Bone'? It doesn't particularly look like any part of the human anatomy I can think of. :) Even the sphenoid bone of the skull doesn't quite match after squinting hard.

    Sure...

    B ONE = BONE

    Get it?

    Felix,
I spent 7 years at McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas (87-94)
2 years as Crew Chief and 5 as a Flightline Expeditor with 8-10 mechanics under my command, responsible for 8 B-1's. Retired in 94 and then went across town to Learjet. Spent a year there and then my now ex-wife wanted to return to Connecticut...which helps to explain why she is my ex-wife.

    But I digress...

Am now out of aircraft in real life, but am very much into the sim world. At present I am working on a RANS S-9 which you recently helped me with, curing my jumping control stick. Many thanks one more time.
