    Default Spartan Executive

First, if thisis the wrong place to post this then I apologize. WHo is in love with the new freeware one that just came out? I hadn't heard of the spartan executive, until last summer when I got a job with centennial Aviation/ Waco classic aircraft company, in Battle Creek, MI. I was just a fuel boy and aircraft cleaner, but I got to do a good amount of work restoring one of these beautiful planes. Here are some pics I took. (Some of them are from my flight school, Western Michigan University).

    Hi,
I think there are a lot of us who love the new Spartan Executive.

I did not realize it existed either until this file came out. A lot of work went into this plane and it shows. Many thanks to the authors of this great plane. It will remaina a 'keeper' in my hangar.

You said you have some shots of this plane that you helped restore, but you didn't include a link to where they are stored. I am sure we'd all like to see them.
    Take care,
    Gary

    Hi Brandon, Nice shots!
The Spartan looked very clean, and I have always like the polished aluminum look. Very nice work.

The other shots are great too, esp the one of the Garmin(?) glass display panel. I heard that one was in development for FS, but it may be a paywere item.

Well, thanls for the link, and take care my friend!

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, that was a Garmin G1000 equipped Cessna 182.

There was an article on a restored Spartan Executive (NC17667) in the Feb 2000 issue of Flight Journal. I've admired it ever since. The guy who owns the Spartan also has a Lockheed 12A -- definitely someone with great taste in aircraft.

I agree that Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas and Urs Burkhardt have done an admiriable job on this plane. It looks great, flies great, and the radial engine sound is wonderful (and a welcome change from the usual). Hand me my fedora, I'm off to the airfield in my Deusenberg!
